EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I think this Police 4 has changed my life. Still in a honeymoon phase with it, but... wow. I love it so much. Also, that Buck 110 SS up there, that's my first dye-job on a knife, it is only a LITTLE darker than I wanted. Mixed purple and scarlet to get that on tan - I have two tan Spydies - a 10V PM2 and a 20CV Yojimbo 2 that I also want to make a wine/burgundy/blurple. Also want to try on the K390 - probably will do the D-fly first to make sure I have got the color right.

Plus, my cat on my messenger bag admiring my knives.

EDIT: I was just thinking about, how I don't always post my full EDC because I'd just be posting the same stuff over and over again other than knives, I have a much more "normal person" attitude (as opposed to our, you know, Titanium Tuesday, Micarta Monday type ways) to my flashlight, prybar and timepieces as opposed to knives. I have ONE EDC flashlight, the small black J5 Tactical with clip, ONE pepper spray, the beat-up Sabre Red w/ clip, you may have seen, ONE $12 4" curved Widgy steel prybar... and other than a couple more flashlights to put in other places, and maybe one purp/red ano job, I don't nerd out over other gear as much. My thought is like, "This works fine - why bother checking out more?" and there is certainly something to be said about simple and utilitarian - I respect a body who carries the same Opinel for 20 years (as someone recently mentioned). I am tempted to go a little bit to the "man jewelry" route and get myself a pretty, Ti prybar but I would rather learn anodization and make it myself than pay $300 for a Metonboss one. I've been enjoying learning to do things myself as of late.

I thank the good Lord for that, though. My heart goes out to those of you afflicted with such addictions like boating, watches, car collecting.
Just kidding there, obviously if it gives you pleasure and you can afford it, do it.

Got me a new toy today! I've been watching these things for about 6 months for a good deal on the exact variation I wanted. I almost compromised a few times on getting one that had a different blade shape or scales than I truly wanted when they came up for a good deal, but I stuck it out and I'm glad I did. I'm going on a week long camping trip soon and plan on this being my main EDC.

The second pic was while warming up my motorcycle getting ready to ride to work at 4 am like most days 🤙
🤙🤙

Amazing knives bro! Love the dye job.

Is your cat's tongue hanging out?
I'm a cat dad too. 🤣

Thank you, I was worried that the normal, not-for-synthetic dye wouldn't do the job, but it did wonderfully! Already loved this lightweight 110, but this just bumped it up into a new class for me 😁

Before/After

Yes, I was so pleased to find that she stuck her tongue out for the picture!
I got the title of "cat dad" after my fiance taped me kneeling down and hand-feeding her, right in front of her bowl, because "she prefers to be hand-fed, it's easier for her neck!" 😂

Yeah it looks great man. I've eye balled those lightweight 110's. If I buy one, it will be a regular 110, for old school's sake.

Sorry guys no knife, gotta show my boy. I never knew I could love a cat like this. As I was sitting here reading your replies, this is my boy passed out on my lap. He's a very sweet cat and handles our hyper 6.5 year old amazingly well. Where another cat would bite and scratch, he just absorbs the love, haha.

Watches can get nuts. I'm glad for my modest "it looks like a clock" taste in watches. 😜

As far as titanium pry bars and such, the prices can be nuts but they don't have to be. For instance, the relatively large pen-like titanium bar on my key ring is a Night Morning design manufactured by TwoSun. If you look around, you can find it for like $30-40 depending on if you want it flame-anodized. The medium-sized flat titanium bar with bottle-opener I posted on Sunday is from Titan Talon and also costs around $30.

I haven't messed around with electrical anodization at home but it doesn't seem like rocket science. There are various tutorials on how to do it. Apparently, getting the right voltage for green is tricky with a home setup but otherwise, it's not a huge step up from stuff like the dye projects you are already doing. I'd say "go for it".

Very nice Biryukov.

Thanks!

Thought I was ready to take on the world this morning…..

And yet…..somehow an absolutely utterly average frikkin’ Tuesday still managed to kick my ass. Must be the heat.

Anyway, I’ll go with “Too Tired to Post Two Pics of my Toucan Tuesday”, Alex.

Although, crap……I just realized there’s a “Sparrow” alongside the “Toucan”.

There’s probably a great “Two Bird….”punchline in there somewhere. If ya’ figure it out, don’t wake me. It’ll keep till morning.

I hope your day tomorrow goes better, broski. Awesome setup though, I really dig that folder.
