EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Going to need a brief impression after you live with it for awhile, great pickup by the way. Thinking about ordering a PJ in that configuration in the future.
My first impressions has mixed feelings:

The ergos, fit and finish, clip tension, grind, bevel, and carbon fiber inlays are all top notch and what one would expect from the price tag. However, for me, there’s a learning curve on deployment. Thumb rolling works the best between that and middle finger flicking, but even that had failed attempts at times. Middle finger flicking is at a 80% success rate at the moment — but it requires me to use some wrist momentum. The third method is pinching the nail nick enough to lift the blade and then thumb roll it out. I’m hoping it gets more consistent, but for now that’s my only challenge with the knife. I actually pre-ordered a PJ flipper version so I’m looking forward to comparing the two. I’d be interested in hearing thoughts on the deployment from Sharp & Fiery Sharp & Fiery and others who have the iMamba.

Thought I was ready to take on the world this morning…..

And yet…..somehow an absolutely utterly average frikkin’ Tuesday still managed to kick my ass. Must be the heat.

Anyway, I’ll go with “Too Tired to Post Two Pics of my Toucan Tuesday”, Alex.

Although, crap……I just realized there’s a “Sparrow” alongside the “Toucan”.

There’s probably a great “Two Bird….”punchline in there somewhere. If ya’ figure it out, don’t wake me. It’ll keep till morning.
A bird in the hand is worth two in the pockets??

I'll see myself out now.....

I pulled mine apart and lubed it. Set the pivot exactly how it wanted to be with no side to side play. It has been amazing since.

Wearing board-shorts on the hottest day of the summer in a mid-century house w/o central air carry. I would prefer to be in the mountains laying in the creek; but alas, obligations have forced me to remain in town today so I'm making the best of it.

Had to have some watermelon. Watermelon on a hot day always reminds me of the family gathering together at my Grandmother's. And you bet your ass that's salt in the picture (I may be in the PNW, but still Dirty South Represent'n! ;) )

I even made an iced tea slushie, sweetened with blackberry honey

Cooking inside was a no-no for today. Luckily we had already roasted some pork for carnitas. I was able to plug the electric griddle in on the back porch to get that ever-so-important sear on the already tender meat.

And of course dessert. I'll be staying here on the back porch for the rest of the evening, which suits me just fine. Then I recon I'll take cool shower, and then set up my cot on the back deck upstairs to sleep under the stars. I really don't mind, actually kinda dig it really. Stay cool friends
