We got a foot of snow last night…still snowin’ today. Gotta make the best of it and get the sleds all fired up for the nephews to ride tomorrow.

Yes it is! Thank you…if ya get bored today…you may as well come over for some trail breaking on the sleds. Feels like I may have to switch up my carry today to either the REK Q or a CPK of some sort.

Single digit temps combined with 45mph winds makes for a good day to stay inside and complete a few projects.

Refurbishing an old Phase Linear 400 stereo amp for my father who purchased in the late '70's. He wants to rediscover his old vinyl collection. After replacing a few 45 year old electrolytic capacitors and shorted output transistors, we have 200 watts per channel of pure direct coupled analog goodness. They just don't make them like this anymore.

I remember spending many an afternoon and all day Saturday using a chainsaw and splitting axe. Did not matter what the tree was. If it would burn it was cut. White, water and red oak split the easiest if the hardwoods, pine would almost split if dropped hard enough on the stump. Post oak and sweet gum were the worst. The grain in sweet gum twisted, turned and spun. Post oak wasn't much better

Got down to 9 degrees F this morning and no power. That's a new low temperature for the South. Had to come over to my wife's grandmother's house so the kids could get warm.

K390 Delica still with me for the 24th consecutive day. I've really enjoyed this knife and I continue to be surprised by how good of a carry it has been.
