Very cool looking scales on your AB…what are they?

They are mammoth molarVery cool looking scales on your AB…what are they?
Just what I was about to say.Roland,
The stop pin floats on the inkosi.it doesn’t hold the scales together. There is no need to remove it to dissemble the knife or for that matter ever.
That's a good point. I suppose we can just leave that bad boy on there for good. We're all so used to taking apart Sebenzas that it's second nature to want to take the stop pin off. I haven't had a need to take apart my Inkosi yet.The stop pin floats on the inkosi.it doesn’t hold the scales together. There is no need to remove it to dissemble the knife or for that matter ever.
CorrectDoc, That stop pin is floating and the scale just lifts off after removing the male pivot screw and the body screw. If you want to remove the stop pin as well that can be done once disassembled.
Edit Thanks @ChazzyP i just saw this.

CorrectIt’s an Inkosi not a Sebenza. It’s the floating stop pin not a body screw/spacer.
Would it be possible to get an old, gum type rubber band mount it and twist it up tight and hold it that way? There are three ways you can do it:
1) hold the stop pin with some needle nose pliers and a buffer so you don't scratch it (like copper or brass tape). Better if you heat before if possible.
2) disassemble the knife, so that this will be the last thing holding the two sides together. Then, you can hold the pin in place with pressure between the two scales, so they are not parallel anymore
3) send to the mother ship (that's what I would do)
Roland.
Wow , that’s gorgeous. Is it a custom job?

Not familiar with these knives so it is just a guess
Does it prevent knife disassembly?Depends on the strength of the loktite. But as others have chimed in, the pin is floating, so doesn’t need disassembly at all.
