Educate me on Strider folders

I like many others do not separate the knives from the man. No way I would support that scumbag. The thread linked above by spark (the owner of bladeforums) lays it out perfectly.
 
What can you expect different from crk and rhk, well IMO strider is the perfect middle ground between the two.
Strider blade grinds don't cut as good as a crk but cut better then rhk, all due to thickness behind the edge.
Striders one piece handle scale/backspacer adds tons of strength and rigidness, while at the same time making it lightweight. I don't think you'll find another knife that has the same weight to strength ratio as a strider folder.
Ergonomics are great love the way the fit in my hand. I prefer the lego style handle for any serious cutting work, CC style for EDC, and GG meh you need gloves...
Pocket clip is another big one, yeah it looks simple but boy does it work good! Defiantly a stronger clip then crk and rhk, it might chew up your pants but at least you'll never lose your knife!
I've tried many diffrent knives and like my Strider SnG the best! Any more questions feel free to ask.

Ill never fathom, how anybody can be a fan of Burger and his compatriot let alone their ugly products after reading the aforementioned link by Spark and seeing -amongst others- the likes of these horrid and useless items:





If it wasnt so utterly sad, it would be pretty funny.
 
Love the usual Strider catastrophe people feel compelled to bring up, also to everyone saying they wont support a felon please don't ever buy SOE gear again. More good gear for the rest of us.

1) Care to back up that SOE Gear claim?
2) Who says anyone making the claim against Burger IS buying SOE gear?
3) And what does SOE Gear have to do with Strider at all?

THIS THREAD IS ABOUT THE KNIFE, not who is or is not a vet or SOF or whatever.

Sounds like Strider makes a good knife. And guilty or not, people have moved on and his knives continue to be good quality for the money.

I don't personally know, but find it hard to believe his knives are only here due to lying about military experience.

And lastly, being military doesn't mean you are honorable, please. Plenty of total ass hats walking the streets acting like they are the shit due to military time. Get a grip. People are mostly people regardless of what they have or haven't done- and people make mistakes.

It's hard to tell until you have one in your hands. I just got one in PSF27. I love it and think it does hold it's own next to CRK and RHK.

1) John Willis is a convicted felon so if people take issue with Mick being a felon then on principal they should not like SOE otherwise they are hypocrites.
2) Both brands appeal to the same type of person very much in the "high speed low drag" category most people I know who like Strider also like SOE's gear
3) The two companies collaborate all the time and even set up together at Blade Show, Strider has done several special edition knives for SOE and the owners are friends

All of this is very well documented on SOE's own Instagram and Youtube page I am just making a point

Do you have evidence that the people who do not buy Strider because of the stolen valor issue, ignore the same issue with SOE?

I'm not following your point.

On the one hand you are bringing up the point of Strider's deeds, but then, at the same time, you are also castigating other who are doing the same thing.

The character of the person making their knife matters to some people. It may not matter to you...but it may to the OP.
 
Are they stil having lock rock issues? What I hate about them is that when you have issues like lockbrock or the lock face wearing down, they will instead put a cap on the stop pin and there you go. A good working knife. Pathetic Mickey Mcburger fries.

In my original post I said that if people do not buy Strider Knives because Mick is a Felon than they had better not buy SOE gear as well, 99% of this thread has nothing to do with the OP anymore so I figured anything goes at this point. I personally do not care I buy whatever works and Strider knives work.

If you could please post a photo of a stop pin cap, preferably one that has fallen off-There is no such thing and never has been. If the stop pin is the problem they replace it with another, not cap it. It's just an internet myth.
