Elusive Schrades

Rob you need to stop scribbling all over those knives of yours my friend!

Beautiful Peachseed on the Both my friend, from a great era! I like the background too matey! Old Wood you cant beat, and it doesnt take away from the Knife - too much background or additions take away from the Knife itself.

Thanks Duncan  I didn't do it, there's someone out there writing on these knives with indelible ink. If I catch them in the act they will be admonished ! Wood grain does make a good background, it compliments knives with its symmetrical lines.

Thanks Mike

You boys have been killing it the last several pages! Amazing knives😍Here's a couple of recents to bring this thread back to page 1.

I actually took the time to get pictures with a background other than my hand.

A couple of fine scores, Rob!! It's always nice to find that "Ink" too!!
What are the lengths, please?? The first one has the clearest "code" written after the model number that I've seen!!

Rob you have shown some very excellent knives lately!

They are not on the same quality level as the peachseed era and older schrades, but I like the late bone handle schrades. Unofficially called wavy bone by some of us knife knuts, the jigging and dye is very pretty. The bone was short lived but the jigging remained on delrin open stock knives for a while longer. This trapper has been a little buffed but otherwise remains a decent knife.

Thanks Charlie
Both are 3 3/8". Gentlemanly I guess, thin and light, fit n finish are second to none.
Thanks, Rob!! Wonderful specimens!!
This Walden is 3 3/8". Interesting blades, the sheepsfoot flares a little and the pen has a little belly.
Nice follow-up also!!

An exceptional, if short, era of Bone handles for Schrade!! Nice!!

The bone on that trapper is outstanding!

Sometimes I think a certain segment of people bought knives because they looked nice, or served a purpose, until they got dull!! Then they just stopped carrying them!!
The bone is pretty crisp, but the edges are dull on this 3 1/8" gent's knife!! Some pepper spots from sitting around for years!!
But, I won't sharpen it unless I become a Gent, and start carrying it!! 😏 🤣Gents Jack 1.jpgGents Jack 2.jpg

Other than a few OTs that I carried back in the day, I had one Schrade peach seed up until last year. (It was a scout and I sold it Charlie, who, of course, had a better one.) Here are the Schrades I've bought starting last year. Some of them are from Nilo Miori's collection, who was president of Camillus.
