Elusive Schrades

Primble Primble
What a sweet knaf Rob 🤩:thumbsup:
and of course… some real great ones shown here by everyone lately o_O:thumbsup::thumbsup:
Thanks Gus - I was pleased to find this one to add to my Primble collection, but, had it been marked Schrade, I'd been happy about that as well ! ☺️
No doubts at all! What a beauty! I will call it a mid-1950s SW 294.
Thanks Cal ! I would call it just about the same as you - doesn't seem to me you need to ask about Era's, you have them pretty darn close ! 😊
While Schrade stamped 294 on their own brand, the one above is stamped model 913, the Primble number.
Just for fun, I will show my other very likely Schrade Walden made for Primble model 912.

Added another mismatched cover Schrade Cut Co to the collection, this makes 3 and Lloyd has one other. When I found the first one I thought it was a one off, now I think Schrade did it intentionally, just don't know why. Latest is a 3 blade camp knife with squared off bail, have not seen this pattern before.

John, very nice mismatch with pick bone and divot bone:thumbsup::thumbsup: The camp knife ain’t bad either😁I love these mismatches!! Anyone have any NON Schrade mismatched examples?

Another name for this thread is "The Beautiful Thread"!! What nice knives!!
Here's a repeat picture: Schrade made the serpentine Jack for Primble and for Shapleigh, as well as themselves!!
Attractively ground blades made them very desirable!!SchradeGrindsPile.jpgSchradeGrinds.jpg
