I rescued this one that was destined for the trash at a yard sale a few weeks ago. Despite the handles it hasn’t been sharpened a lot and the spring is still strong. I’d like to get it re-covered as close to original as possible.
I like it in its relic-ey form!! I'm a little weird when it comes to old knives!!

I haven’t read each page, frankly just the first at this point. But that 2 blade stockman is wow. I didn’t know such existed and I’ll have to be on the hunt now. Guess I’ll have to read the whole thread as Schrades are one of my loves (as well as buck and case).

Thanks for sharing. That square bolster version is mmmm. I like the clip blade there better than the long pointed California clip on the round bolster version.
I wouldn't kick either one out of the bed .........................err... what I meant to say was I love them both and wouldn't kick either one out of my collection !

I don't really sleep with my knives. ;) ☺️

Beautiful knives folks! Ken most times they'd skip that pin on the mark side of cap bolstered knives since the shield pins somewhat held the cover in as well, but they'd still use it on many bareheads regardless. Looks like they went for the upgraded insurance on yours lol. The more pins the better the chances of cracking the covers though, so it was always a gamble.

Since we're looking at teardrop jacks here's a very unusual one. This is the only Schrade Walden teardrop I've ever seen. It's just a hair over 3 5/8" long with steel bolsters, brass liners, and cocobolo handles. Obviously a contract knife for C.J. Hendry Co. I'm thinking that perhaps it comes from right after the transition from Schrade Cut Co to Schrade Walden and it was possibly a carry over contract or they were trying to use up some old parts. Either way it's a wild knife, same pattern as Ken's above but would have been the single blade barehead version 1091 3/4:

Thank you for Sharing ea42 ea42 ! Man, I'm just absolutely in love with these vintage blades with fantastic swedge! I'm going to go as far as to say the swedge really makes the blade complete in my opinion. It's like that final touch! 😁
