Emerson Tiger

Wise words spoken here. I'm going to buy the black blade and carry it proud then. The black blade does have its advantages.

Smart man. Black blades are my favorite users.. Satin just looks damn fine, but black is meant for use and wear in nicely

yup. me too. I just can't pull the trigger on the black finish ... I like satin & stonewashed blades too much. damn.

Just purchased a black blade version. I would have been angry if I missed this run. I don't think I've wanted a knife this bad ever. It was created by a master for a specific purpose and it just appealed to me like my 7v did.

Only through EKI as it is a limited run.

Is that all she wrote?

I've been carrying a CQC-13 (and combat & super Karambits) for years - and I just found out about this knife last week.

The CQC-13 handle, IMHO, is the best non-karambit Tactical Folding Knife handle there is - the only one I feel that has perfect retention, second only to my Emerson Karambits (that have a "finger ring" for retention - amazing in reverse grip!)

Is the production run completely over? All of my Emersons are STONEWASH or Satin finish

I am dizzy thinking I am going to have to hit the WWW looking for a seller...

We may have some black blades in stock. If not then yes, this run is over for now. I wouldn't say we'll never make them again since they were so popular but definitely keep an eye out. I will also give everyone a heads up if another run is coming through.

Yes please. I would really love to purchase satin finish. My Black finish will be here this week. I'm also purchasing the Collectors club membership, will I be alerted if and when a new run is coming out?

If you do make another SF run, please give us a heads up in this thread also?

Thanks!

(If I wasn't already carrying EKI knives that I loved, this would be sooooo difficult...)

Work and life been keeping me off the forums so I missed this run. Any update on a run or does anyone have a spare they need to get rid of ?

Merry Christmas all.

I have a black Emerson Tiger in the 40's numbering. The knife still does not open smoothly after approx. 2,000 openings. I lubed the washer and have waved it open quite a bit. The liner lock up is approx. 80 percent towards the right scale. The lock makes an obscene squeaking when opening.

I have a CQC 8 that has about the same break in. It's is smooth as butter with no noise. I don't get it.

Anyone have a similar problem?

Yes. Mine was 0031. I ended up selling it. It made the same chalkboard noise when opening. I had a problem where mine was going over to about 100% lockup and that was waving it and thumb stud opening. I had the pivot screwed down to the point that I had to open it with 2 hands. I sent it in for warranty and it came back with a new titanium liner. Late opening problem was solved, but by then I had fallen out of love with it. It was the black blade model like yours.

Thanks Dooku77.

I'll probably send it back for warranty service and see what happens. I love the design. It fits my hand like glove.

I have a second NIB black Emerson Tiger in my safe. Thinking about off loading it.

Your welcome. At first I thought I was going crazy, but it in fact ended up being the knife. I loved how it felt in hand. I have since replaced it with a CQC 15. Haven't looked back. Good luck. Keep us posted.

Dapimpspimp, if you're gonna sell your NIB Tiger, I'd appreciate if you could let me know.

Thanks bud,

Gunsnknives, I would be willing to sell you my second tiger. It's NIB black finish with a plain edge. I would ask the price that I paid
