End the Mystery... the Grab Bag image thread!

Infi or otherwise does it really matter?
You gambled, hopefully because you can afford to .
I don't see anyone so far that can't recoupe the loot on the exchange
This should be fun times for everyone or next time just sit out

That Baby Boom is pretty gnarly. What the heck is the metallic stuff in the resin? Aluminum?

And, straying a bit but this has been gnawing at me: Beef sharpens friggin' just about everything. Who is this Beef? Is it one person? Is it a machine? Is it an acronym for like...Busse Ergonomic Edge Forger? Is it a collective hive mind of assimilated individuals who live to sharpen? How can one person sharpen so much!?

I think you're right...Aluminum...there's a material called CTek:

Sometimes they crumple up the mesh and make cool random patterns and call it Crazy CTek:

This is how I feel about it. It's an opportunity to have some fun with pretty much no risk. Don't like it, flip it.

The entire reason I got in on this deal with because it was fun, I might get something I really like or I might not. But no matter what, it's not like I went to vegas and lost $250/500 and got nothing to show for it. At worst, I lose use of $ for a little while and I get to experience something I otherwise wouldn't.

Anything more is outside the scope of the stated side rails of the offering.

To turn an internet phrase: "This is why we can't have nice things."

$500 grab bag. My first Busse's.

I really like all of those. I wouldn't normally buy a cleaver, but if I got on in a bag like this....my wife would be ecstatic. Been wanting a cleaver for the kitchen for a while, and I wouldn't have to sharpen it for ages.

A nice EDC and a nice bigger blade. That's a pretty nicely rounded box you got, IMHO at least.

The bigger blade looks like a BG tank buster, I have a thick Chophouse that is currently working as a cleaver and it's a great blade.

My 500 dollar haul. Unsure of what the CS Rat is, or the cleaver looking thing (is that smog g10???). Thinking the other is a mini muk. All seem to be in sr101. Any help determining the names of all of these would be great. I'll proabably try to trade for some CS goody. Also, feel free to let me know that the CS piece is actually infi, lol. Thanks!
That clipped Rodent 9 variant is badass!

I will have my bag Thursday or Friday. I personally like the non INFI. I think there's more bang for your buck. I'd prefer a number of less expensive blades to one epic one. Or some unusual stuff. I'll let y'all know if I still feel that way when my GB gets here.

I'm hoping fer less is more motto this time. Last time I got the more for less. Never kept a single blade, but traded almost all for one I did want.

Beef is one dude... and his work is pretty damn awesome

They look much nicer in person. Need to relearn how to upload photos online while keeping picture quality.

The top one is a Bunker Buster. Really nicely weighted medium chopper with quality G10 scales. Cool knife.

I probably would not have bought a cleaver either but after handling it I am inclined to hang on to it. I really like the scales on that one, too. Great ergonomics. At first, I thought "What the heck am I going to do with this?" Well, I think I'm going to cut meat with it. I live in the city but if there were any chickens running around my AOR, if they had any common sense they would be running scared. Seriously, it will make a great tool for grill prep. I like it.

The Rodent 4 is green with orange handles. I wasn't sure I would like the handle shape but it is surprisingly comfortable and fits my XXL hands very well. I have an Esee 3, a Fallkniven F1 and I like this one in the hand better than either of those. Haven't used it yet so I can't say if it outperforms them.

In my opinion, I, too, thought it was a very well rounded grab bag and a lot of quality steel for the price. Now, I have to get my hands on an Infi blade.

Geez quit all yer bitchin you spent $500 and most of you got $800+ of items.... if you didnt get what you want, sell them all on the forums r fleabay and use the profit plus $500 you got back and buy what you actually want.
It's not about the $ broski. If it was, people wouldn't be buying knives that are worth hundreds of dollars. It's also not bitching, lol. It's just called an opinion or expression that you don't agree with. Quit yer bitchin 'bout me bitchin.

true dat, just meant if you don't get what you want you can't lose, if anything you're $200-300 after resales closer to getting a grail :D
