Epic Movie Knives

Just to give you an idea of what a movie year 1982 was:

-First Blood
-Tron
-Bladerunner
-Poltergeist
-Star Trek II The wrath of Khan
-Conan the Barbarian
-Firefox
-Cat People
-John Carpenter's The Thing
-E.T.

There's never been a year quite like 1982...

And don't forget Rocky III.

Given how knives are being used and portrayed in almost every one of these examples it's no surprise that the general public are so scared of them :(

I'll have to get the proper DVD with commentary then!

Just curious...this is about knives how? Did those movies all have "epic knives" in them?

Work on it....

Tanto (Cold Steel IIRC) used by Sato in "Black Rain" to kill another Yakuza early in the movie. Tense shit in that scene.

I know it's already been listed but the knives in Commando are awesome!

Hell yeah, Daryls TGLB. With the comp finish and tan & black g10 is as epic as can be.

Not too epic, but Selene from "Underworld" has a nice silver hunting knife haha

They live is an excellent movie, and I'll admit that the last action heresy not be the greatest thing ever. Now the last boy scout is a much better movie.
The fan featured prominent use of knives as Robert de Nero was a knife salesman for a fictional knife company which I'd say is a dead ringer for cold steel.

Agreed with They Live.

In The Fan, I thought the knife company De Niro's character worked for was a combination of Gerber and Cold Steel. The folder he carried was a Gerber EZ-Out, and he gave the boy an EZ-Out Jr. Which is a bit odd, considering that Gerber is mentioned in the movie as being a different company when De Niro tries to sell knives to some sporting goods store, IIRC. While the fixed blade tantos looked like CS.

Daniel Winkler made the props for Last of the Mohicans.

Winkler II didn't exist at that point.

Also in Bob's Burgers when he was on the pontoon to cut the rope he had some type of multi-blade traditional folder. Maybe a Case.

No one has mentioned the movie "The Edge." The Brian Lyttle knife. I know many of you like back locks.

This is the knife that's used in that movie .

John Wick 2 had John Wick(Keanu Reeves) using some sort of Microtech(he used a Microtech in the first movie as well) in a fight against Cassian(Common) who was using what appeared to be a Cold Steel Counter Tac. Later on, Aries(Ruby Rose) tried to kill Wick using a Cold Steel Safe Maker push dagger.

This one is from a Brit film called (cottage) dose anybody recognise this knife ? ..
