i love how everyone has their opinions to throw out there. if you like their products, trust them to make them great. if you want something different, buy something different or design your own, start your own company, and see if you can make everyone happy.

'wow! that looks awesome, but make sure you do this and this and...'

if it was me, and i knew there were gonna be all these wishlists, i probably wouldn't say anything at all until the knife was for sale. get a grip people.

Oh. My. God.

I cannot believe the rc3 folder is here. atleast in prototype. Any idea of price?

I bet since it isn't designed to be beat on like a fixed blade they will go with a harder steel that might be a touch harder.

Wow, those look fantastic! Must buy for sure! (there's been so many sweet knives coming out lately)

Beautiful looking knife, solid looking lock-up.

Torx screws is the way to go. If you can buy a knife, you can buy a Torx bit and the fact that it is more resistant to stripping, seems like the best choice.

You mentioned ti and stainless. Either would be good, but stainless would be much more price-attractive.

A few mentioned coated blades. Wouldn't that be problematic? Besides, if it's stainless or ti, not necessary. Would also eliminate most of the corrosion concerns with 1095. (I like 1095 on a fixed blade, but not a folder).

Anyway, just my 2 cents. Hope I didn't upset guntram too much. :D

Been gone all day and just saw this...

Looks great, very excited, will patiently wait for updates.

;)

Looks like a winner, Jeff. Sticks to principals: nothing fancy, just a good, solid, working knife. I'll start saving-up today!

RAT Pack # 177

You should offer it in ranger green g-10 also.

hahahaha... almost missed that. :) sorry for the rant. i just don't get why everyone is so insistent on what they think is best rather than trusting these guys to make they great product we all know they will. they were very clear that nothing is set in stone and people are going nuts over the little bit of information available and a lot of speculation.

anyway, this is like the third or fourth time i've seen this in the little time i've been here and i just don't get it. if they didn't know what they were doing, we wouldn't be here in the first place. plus, half of these people insisting on it being their way will probably buy two regardless, so it's really irrelevant.

can't we all just enjoy the pics for what they are and happily and patiently wait? that's all i'm saying. :)

dang... i ranted again. sorry.

Badass! I'm really glad I didn't push to get the HEST folder now. I look forward to seeing this at SHOT. I didn't have the time to go through all the posts, so forgive me if this question has already been asked, but I am not familiar with folders. Why not go with the rotoblock, and what alternatives are out there?

I really could care less what it is made of. There are things I would prefer, but they will make it how they think it will be best. I will accept that, as they know more then I do in terms of knives.

I woke up to seeing these proto types on facebook. Great start to my day!

I may not have read all the posts so far carefully enough but I have a question..

Jeff, Why the scales on one side and none on the other? I've wondered this about the HEST/F as well.

Other than that it looks great, I'm in for one for sure! Especially if its in 440C ;)

No worries, we will do the folder like we want to do it and those that like it will buy it, those that don't, won't. For the most part we build our knives based on what we would carry. So far I really like this folder as is (except for the RotoBlock) so unless Mike wants something changed and unless something doesn't work out in the future while we're trying them out, then probably what you see here is what you get.

I'm in for a pair of these at least. I also want a pair of the Izula folders when they are produced. As much as I like fancy "art" knives, I carry real working knives because they work. At the rate I'm going, I'll be like a lot of guys here with most/all of the ESEE line in my collection.

Any chance we might be able to get a "Rat Pack" version? How sweet would that be?

the best EDC I have ever seen!!! Please keep teh RotoBlock on the knife same as on Lionsteel models. Did not see previous pages. Could you pls mention the dimension of the prototype? thx a lot!

EDIT: btw, why don't you want to keep the RoroBlock on the new models? It would be useful to keep some frame "lock limit" as RotoBlock" or "clip lock" towoards the frame lock. e.g. I like BM subrosa or ZT 0301 because there is some "limit" where the frame lock can stop.... sorry but my english is really poor but I hope you know how I feel it... that's the reason why I did not get sebenza until now...
