Looks great, only thing I'd offer is that a flat buttcap would be nice to add for those who don't want/need a glass breaker.

Glass break is removable and will come with a smooth replacement screw ;)

the best EDC I have ever seen!!! Please keep teh RotoBlock on the knife same as on Lionsteel models. Did not see previous pages. Could you pls mention the mension of the prototype? thx a lot!

There will be no RotoBlock on production models.

Awesome! You guys just think of everything!

Just to throw my 2 cents into the screw debate...
I've had all kinds of screws on knives but the thing I wished they had (especially my Emersons) are phillips heads big enough for the screw driver on my Leatherman multi-tool. I always have that on my kit (most of us do) and its just a b!tch having to remember to pack the torx/whatever other screw driver a knife needs and then go and find it when the time comes.

Yep, that's what we need is # 3 Phillips on a small folding knife :D

Put me down for 1, err maybe 2. :D

I was going to purchase a replacement Sebenza in the near future but I think I'll hold out for some more ESEE knives.

Great pics....truly a great looking knife. Only thoughts would be to maybe consider a more standard clip w/ more horizontal screws. I always find ai mess up these clips w/ 2 vertical screws. Not as strong due to lack of metal maybe??? Again, great work!

I think spyderco may have patented [the opening hole].

I think they tried to sue Benchmade over those things and failed. Basic reason:
A hole or cutout in a blade is too simple and common a feature to patent.

Edited out by Jeff
----------------------edit to add (by FALZILLA) to address the below post (and save space)
Sorry for the offense (by whomever it was taken) I didn't mean to "twist and change" someone else's words. I actually agreed with 99% of what the guy said and thought it was great that he posted actual points in numerical order (very precise), the one point I didn't agree with I "edited" in bold so that it would be obvious that it was my writing and not the original authors. I then added "fixed it for 'ya" with a smiley face..... I actually thought it was funny? No problem keeping it clean :)
Also note that I didn't "complain" about the design, options at all... I only protested against some additions/alterations that have been called for (yes I have an opinion as well). I'm pretty sure Jeff (or any company owner) throws this kind of thread out there to get feedback anyways. It works out pretty well.... feedback, check excitement/interest levels, etc. To take such offense at peoples "likes" and "dislikes" is silly and best left to those who "would have made better women than men" to quote Jeff. I'll send him a message that I edited this (not being sneaky) Again sorry for the offense and it wasn't my intention to cause anyone harm.
-------------- couldn't leave "visitor message" for him (looks like you have to email esee to contact him?

most of your post is pretty uncalled for. how about we keep it clean? if you are going to complain about what you want, then do it (although, i don't think anyone cares). no need to twist and change someone else's words.

I agree and I edited it out.

As for everyone throwing suggestions at us, we don't mind the suggestions but the folder is pretty much gonna be what you see now. If you don't like it, don't buy it ;)

As for the Spyderco Hole, legalities and attorneys have nothing to do with it. It's a common courtesy that we don't use it even though we probably could. Too much IP theft in this industry as is. If we wanted to use the hole then we would ask Sal for permission to use it and then pay a licesing fee to Spyderco if they said ok.

sorry if i'm overstepping... that's pretty much the point i was trying to make. :)

We always appreciate input, but we dont try to please everyone because it's not possible. Funny thing is we can introduce a prototype and say "This is it. This is the final way it's gonna be" and we always have people that want to tweak it and say we should do this, that or the other. All of that is fine because we do appreciate input and excitement about a new product. The ones that really get me is the color coordinators that need some specific color (for what I don't know) but I'm beginning to believe that a lot of folks on here would have made better women than men. In fact I'd just about bet that some of them are hair stylist as their regular job and have sort of a high pitched voice. :D

BTW: watch the exchange boys, the ESEE Pissed Off Sale is coming! This time it will be the limp wristed color coordinators selling their wares!

RotoBlock: sometimes it will lockup when I draw the knife and open it. Must be how my fingers slide across it. Anyway, it pisses me off when I go to close it and the damn rototblock is preventing that from happening. I've carried one for about a month now and don't like that feature at all. Lion Steel's Frame Lock is good 'nuff without the need for the RotoBlock.

I have never held a knife with a rotoblock feature. I assume it is that little dial on the locking mech on the frame lock handle. Do you turn it with your hand or need a tool?

Sorry, don't mean to take away from your thread, I just have never seen that feature other than in pictures and if you don't like it I am curious how it operates. From what you are saying it sounds like a pain in the ass. glad you are cutting it out then.

Lots of info on the rotoblock out there. Google.

Wow, the 3 is my fave and most-used ESEE (even though mine is RC :D ) and this 3 folder will most likely bump it. I gotta have this one!

Nice looking knife.

Sorry if this has been asked/answered before...

How thick is the blade? It looks like it might be a little thicker than the fixed 3.
