ESEE Idiots - Round 2

Was in sales for over 20 years, & I can "honestly" say I can not think of an intelligent comment to go with those shots . . . Someone's parents must have slept for the first 18 years of their lives.
Unbelievable, just unbelievable.
Be safe.

I still don't understand what the idea begind cutting up that ESEE 3 was...he didn't like the jimping..so he gouged out 1/2" out of the spine?

I think he was trying to make his own version of the fixed H.E.S.T. (in a round about way)

need to add a revision to the warranty.....when we send the new knife we have the right to post your name and call you a dumb ass.....

If someone alters the knife in anyway it should not be warranted period. A warranty should be for unsuspected failure or breakage under normal use.

I have done some stupid things with knives in my time, but I have never once sent a knife in under warranty.

There are a few things to alter a blade such as dying micarta or stripping the paint that does not effect the blade, or do you mean beating the shit out of a blade in a way that is not intended?

I just hope one of these days Jeff & Mike don't change there warranty becasue of all the DUMBASS people they have to deal with....

I hate when DUMBASS people ruin a good thing

Again, our warranty is not going anywhere. All you sane folks are safe!

It would be great, a contest so we could all try for an ESEE all time dumb ass knife. You guys could have different contests so us more normal people could own some hacked up shit. I would definately be in on the contests.

Hahaha what the hell is wrong with some people . Did that actually write cut in half bye hacksaw sent in for warranty replacement.

I forsee you receiving an ingot of steel and the sender telling you he melted his ESEE and wants a new one.

This is good, and from the earlier shots, maybe not that far off . . . .
"I was using my ESEE firesteel and it just went nuts on me and kept shooting these big globs of molten metal and my knife go stuck on the rod and the sparks just kept going off and . . etc. etc. etc. "
KeithAM, hope you did not give anyone any ideas my good man . . . :)
Be safe.

Now I understand when u called my attitude piss poor the crap u need to deal with in no way was I saying if ur a idiot hey they will replace it

I understand that now now. We're cool, brother ;)

This thread would be even more epic if we could get the "explanations" on what happened from the owners.

Whats the chance of seeing some of the warrenty blades with pictures and the description sent in with the knife. With the name blurred out of course or maybe not. If you did that I wonder if some of these warrenty returns would not come back. Then again if they are going to do it to you they probably dont care who knows that they are screwing ESEE.

No, I am talking changing the structure in the knife. Drilling holes, cutting a notch in the knife, etc...

This is my oppinion, I am just a user of ESEE knives, I have nothing to do with ESEE's warranty or business.

Maybe ESEE can add a "bladeforum's screen name" box to their warranty return form.

They might be dumb enough to fill it in. :D:D

Start a warranty claim sticky. Every knife submitted on a warranty claim will get it's photo posted along with the name of the person who submitted the claim. Add appropriate language to your warranty policy. Then the idiots who do these things would have second thoughts. If you feel your claim is legitimate then you shouldn't have a problem with it.
