Everyone's latest acquisitions!

In honor of page 666… My new Lionsteel T6 in K490 and new Busse P&L Statement in INFI! Both with some evil looking handles lol.

A Randall Model 2 - 7" Fighting Stilleto

Bought it for a what I considered a "good" price off of the Exchange but it unfortunately suffered some pitting in storage (not visible in the photos but plainly visible in the hand) and some other minor issues.

Decided to keep it despite these problems because it's the 1st of these that I've ever seen offered at a "reasonable" price and because, if you order it or any other knife from Randall now, it will not be scheduled for completion/delivery until 5 years from now in 2027. I should live so long. LOL! ;)

So, now I'm thinking about whether to just leave it alone or try to remove the pitting by hand w/some super high grit sandpaper or send it to Randall to regrind/refinish the blade to take out the pitting properly. Repairs/refinishing only take 6-9 weeks according the FAQs on Randall's website.

Otherwise, think it's a great knife. The design of the knife is really sexy/beautiful to my eye and the handle fits my hand perfectly. Far better than my Gerber Mark II and Command II which are about the same size.

The stacked leather looks nice and tight. I would rub a little leather conditioner into it. I would just lightly oil the blade and then leave it. It looks good as is.

I like that design..very unique for Biryukov from what I have seen. 👍
I wish the handle was all CF, and no backspacer. Still, remarkably light considering size and materials. I almost bought a different one, a regular flipper. I love a well done front flipper, and this is a dream. I originally was looking at a damascus Cheburkov with red CF for nearly twice the price, but the front flipper and S125V sold me on this. My wallet is happier too.

Well done and enjoy. They are great slicers.

Not sure if I'm going to buy anything else, though one guy has a ZT 0804CF that peaked my interest.
