Everyone's latest acquisitions!

Haven't been spending as much loot on knives lately, as I've gotten pretty heavily back into my fountain pen and ink collection, but this finally arrived after being ordered last year. It's a special build from Victorinox for the SAK Collectors FB page. The Mountaineer X, essentially a Pioneer X where the saw has been swapped for Vic's excellent metal file/saw:

The last new one today, and AKC X-TREME Dandy out the side automatic. It's definitely better than my AKC F-16 OTF, which feels like a gas station knife, despite professional reviews saying the F-16 is a good bang for the buck. This is a D2 blade with anodized aluminum handles.

It kinda reminds me of a low budget Benchmade Osbourne 9400 automatic - not as nice as my 9400, but a poor man's version. It has a good solid lockup and fast action, but the detent at the end of closing it is pretty soft, and you feel the need to double check that it's really closed before you put it away. I HATE that they prioritized the lanyard hole over the pocket clip!

New Civivi Elementum button lock model, in Nitro-V steel and natural G10 scales. Very nice action, as usual for Civivi. I wanted micarta scales, but didn't want the coated blade that came with the micarta model.

I’ve decided, I’m a button lock guy period, then I go to a liner lock, and I like that…I’m afraid to try a frame lock for those reasons. I’m beginning to understand large collections.
