So true! Can't wait for that reverse business yelp. It will actually save the rest of us money for companies to not have to deal with problem customers.
exactly. honest good customers have to subsidize in the form of higher prices that these bad customers cost in false warrantys claims and time and other costs to the manufacturers, wholesalers and retailers. really no different than shoplifters...in costing the rest of us higher prices to subsidize it.

ZT is a big fat fail on all fronts.

Since “ZT is a big fat fail on all fronts” you should just get a refund and move on.

However, you now have a mission to sully their name and reputation every chance you get. It’s not an altruistic mission either but one of self-centered spite and revenge. All that reflects more upon you than anything else.

No sir, you are not. A person of integrity does not call out employees of a company on a public form and accuse them of lying on a forum where they can't defend themselves or share their side of the story. One example of a bad knife (if that's what you have) does not warrant a public bashing on a forum.

what you have is a piss poor attitude, and the entitlement of a child...the life of a snowflake is very cold...I suggest you buy a scarf.

Again, thanks for your opinion. Those people are free to hop on here and defend themselves. Public forum, yeah? I shared my side of the story, they're free to do the same, yeah? "A person of integrity would return the product for a refund and write a letter to the company outlining their displeasure." According to? Who died and made you queen?

I said my piece and that's where it would stop if not for fanboys calling me a liar. You want to end it, stop calling me a liar.

If ZT had a knife in there hands that a customer complained about and there was any (actual) problem with it whatsoever, they

Right. I wouldn't have taken pictures of this complete disaster of a knife that should never have made it through QC either before sending it back.

We'll wait patiently for pictures upon it's return and jump on your bandwagon.

I guess we'll see when I get it back ;)

Interestingly....if you took the time to read the consensus of posts here we aren't calling you a liar.

When you cut through the snark, we believe you sent in a knife with a cosmetic flaw... that knife, when reviewed by ZT was within spec. We agree that many enthusiasts (myself included) have received knives they feel to be sub-par for some reason, and that the proper protocol for that is to use the dealers return policy. I have read threads where people have gone through multiple boxes to find the "perfect example". I understand your interpretation of the warranty policy, but returning it through warranty wasn't the way to go about it in this particular case. Everyone here is trying to share what they have learned after years of collecting. The snark is a result of your approach

Nobody has called you a liar yet.

However, you bashed several ZT employees and called one a liar.

Also, in your postings, you have tended to disbelieve what others have positively related about ZT in terms of quality, customer service, etc. You tend to believe that your singular experience are the only true facts.

P Passin' Through I'm curious...when you called did you ask for them to just replace the knife or did you ask for anything else, above and beyond replacement?

Did you talk to the folks in Warranty, like you're talking to the members here?

I've gotta be honest, the folks in warranty were more courteous than some of the members here. I said that if it didn't make any difference I'd prefer they replace it with a satin s35vn but that I'd be just as happy with a dlc blade with a decent grind. Not that my blade preference or request has any bearing on their customer service.

He's also trying to misrepresent a ZT employees statement. In one place he says the employee said he could see a slight variation in the grinds (very common on production knives) but that it was in spec. In another place, in a display of WOEFUL ignorance, he claims the knife had two completely different grinds on each side (hollow and convex). Now he's claiming the employee saw what he was complaining about and chose not to rectify it.

There is definitely more to this story. I'll put money on it right now that we will NEVER, EVER get pictures of this knife with grinds so far out of whack. We will either get pics in which we all have a hearty laugh at the ridiculous nature of the claims, or he will come back and claim ZT replaced the blade because magically the grinds don't look so bad...

And the truth comes out...at least part of it. I'm sure that's EXACTLY what you said. I'd pay money to know how the actual request for special treatment went down.
