Thanks Lycosa, I am lucky to have finally found something I really like!

I remember being in my garden cutting zip ties with my Benchmade after I had cut some stone and thought... it would be awesome to make things I could use! I had just seen a Benchmade Snody in person when looking for a Buck 110 and between the two events I had to make knives.

It's an obsession for sure!

Back in line at the DMV again this morning. Good thing is that his trip should take care of everything and I won't need to come down here anymore. I think I'll go to this great little mexican restaurant that's down the street from here, get some Machaca to go and head home.

Hopefully I can get some more work done on the mini, I need to figure some things out on it. That fine silver I'm using is pretty soft but work hardens very quickly.

I don't think I have had Machaca here, it seems Mexican food is regional even here in the USA. Shredded beef is my favorite though, I really like Barbacoa.

Keep annealing that silver, you can't over anneal it from what I know. A local guy told me would anneal a piece 100 times!

Getting excellent service at the DMV?! I was out of there by 4 minutes after 8:00 am! Sweet! Now I'm back home about to destroy a plate of machaca, this restaurant has the best around. Believe me, this is the second nicest city in Mexico (sure feels that way), bad mexican food doesnt last long around here.

Oh Xander I will say I will not bitch any more when our DMV is super busy with 3 people waiting in line and 1 clerk. Half the time you walk in and you are the only one there. Thank God I live in the sticks!!!!

I can't remember were I found that.It was a loooong time ago.I would think it would be fine to use for shirts. It's not like you are selling them at the GAP.....or are you?haha

Afternoon everyone. Finely getting a break on all the overtime. Instead of 12 hour days I now get to work 10 hour days!! Woo Hoo!! Wouldn't think 2 hours would make that much difference, but it does when it comes to sleep. :yawn:

It's amazing, going from 12's to 10's does help. I worked from 10-9 for a long time (and still mostly do) there 6 days a week and a 8 on Sundays, lol on Sunday it felt like I just walked in and left. I hope they are treating you right!

Evening men.I hope everyone had a safe and productive day. My son graduates from the Corrections academy 1 week from Friday.Looking forward to having him back home.He has been gone almost 11 weeks.This is the longest I have ever been away from my son and he will be 26 in October! He is my woods bumming and hunting partner.We talk about guns and competitions everyday.It drives my wife crazy.I always say well that is what I wanted a son for so bad!!!!

I have been at it since about 10 am and plan on going until 9 or I am too tired. Or glue up! :D whatever happens first, lol!

I just had a snack and am watching part of LA Ink...

Good your son is almost done, I bet he will be happy to be at work! In school that's all I could ever think about, making money!

I'm going to do some more grinding in a minute, these are turning out nice! :D

Daniel my son is lucky he is getting paid almost $16 an hour while at the academy.When he starts being able to work OT you will here from him wanting to make an order.

Exactly! Hopefully by then I will be caught up enough to take on more full on custom orders. I am always listening to feedback and with the new way I'm doing customs there will be way less wait time for the knives you guys need!
