Well I would make sure she makes a scene and dehumanizes the agents handling the situation, if they are made out to be incompassionate they will be back peddaling like mad. Good luck!

I'm on hold with American Airlines and will be probably going to the airport myself to talk to them. My wife is not happy plus we shouldn't have to pay for a room on top of this. She hasn't even made it to the hotel yet and her flight was supposed to be in 4 hours ago... to Corpus Christie not Dallas.

The main thing is to get the family somewhere dry and safe! Looks like that's in motion.
 
No worries Daniel! This one right now is 2" loa and I am building it 1:10 scale. It is basically a long fighter with a .13" blade designed with influence from Don Hansen III and Lin Rhea. For contrast, your USM3 was built to 1:5 scale and is roughly the same overall length. This one is coming in at .029" at the ricasso and is distally tapered almost the full length, which was difficult to do!

I should do another one and send it to ya! Yours is still one of my favorites I have done!

3 days... ugh...

heading up to BC one time I got yanked by customs.. jeep totally searched and pulled apart.. 5 guards pulled me inside their little molestation room.. pulled my knife out, wanted to arrest me for that since they couldn't find anything in my jeep.. threatened to strip search me.. I made a pissy comment on how they'd like that too much, one said, WE"LL DO IT RIGHT NOW PUNK.. WHAT F U.. idiots.. hate. Question authority.. ALWAYS..

Yes I'm waiting on a call from my wife. She was waiting for the hotel shuttle, last I talked to her it had been 45 minutes. Everything will be fine, as far as life goes no big deal.

I have had people try to carjack me several times, dealt with crazy crackheads, insane Hatians and TX gangsters but I can at least do something about them! These airport people are way worse!

Way cool! Don Hanson III and Lin Rhea make the best! Great influences to draw from. One day I'd like a DH III folder with Ti liners and Mammoth scales, mosaic bolsters... :D

The scale is just nuts, the one you made for me is tiny! Perfect too, I can't wait to see this one finished up.
 
Damn. That sucks. I'm sorry they are going through that.

My last flight way in '03. I got to visit the interigation room, watch them go through my luggage, spend hours being questioned, AND miss my flight. No more. Quite happy to spend four days driving round trip to visit my folks.

It would be fun to try and board a flight after helping my dad out at the reloading bench though. But only if I had a few days to spare.

I really should have driven down there, I have only been home once in 8 years.
 
OK my wife JUST made it to the hotel and now one hour wait on food, it is 11:20 pm there. No crib either.

This is epic and bad!

I'm trying not too get worked up over this, not much you can do about anything these days.

I fight the system by making knives, I contribute and back my work... crazy stuff in modern times!

Daniel I am glad it at least worked out some what! Thanks for the memories ....lol Pat Benatar was the hottest thing going when I grew up!!!! I remember when MTV was brand new.Holy shit I am old!!!Man dealing with car jackers in TX that is the great state of shoot them!!! Gang bangers I have dealt a lot with where I grew up and in working all the years in prison.You should see how fast they will renunciation there gang affiliation when I was sitting there telling them I was going to send them to a level 4 prison as a STG II (Security threat group).You have a lot of experiences Daniel,Glad you made it through them so we can enjoy your creativity!! So many of those situations could have ended badly!!!
