Morning,Daniel!

Coffee?

I have one in hand right now! I'm going with my wife to the doctors today, we have been there a lot lately... got to hear the baby's heart beat last time!

PO too, lots of knives to mail out today!

Hopefully I get some shop time this afternoon, I need to heat treat some knives!

100*F and dry here, all last week...
Yesterday: 76*F; breezy.
Midnight last nite: 54* F
Right now: 68*F;breezy.
Leaves a' fallin'.
Cloudless.

Wild weather! It was very cool here yesterday, 62 in my house.

I live in an odd area, no tv reception here, I never a whole lot about what is going on (of anything, lol) but I know it is going to be cold soon! My wife just told me she looked online and the high here yesterday was 74! I better get the snow plow ready, I have about 1 month before it starts freezing.

I usually get a lot of snow, 15' on average. Two winters ago it got over the roof of my house!

Naturally,we want pix this year,please!

Oh yeah, you guys will get to see some for sure! Last year we had a snowboard jump in my yard. I live on a pretty steep mountain!

I am on the north face and the next hill over was a ski hill back in the day.

15' of snow. Who needs cryo treat? just bury them for a couple of weeks, lol.

Exactly!

Last yearI was snow quenching titanium for heat coloring! You don't have to quench Ti but it was fun, lmao! The only tough part is that my water bucket under my grinder froze, they aren't very effective that way! This year I hope to be indoors.

damn, that sucks. I HATE the snow. I like liquid water much better, I can sail year round here. Although, it is much colder here at 30*F and 100% humidity in the winter, not to mention fog so thick you literally can't see 30 feet. I'll take 10 below and zero humidity any day over 30 above and fog. Now where can I find that with no snow?

Totally agree. 30deg bay area fog makes me wish I was in my native western Montana and it's below zero winters. And bone chilling cold is no fun without a snowmobile.

Morning all. As far as snow goes, I'll take our few inches per year. It's here
long enough for the kids to enjoy, then it's gone in a couple of days. That's the
thing about East Tennessee weather; if you don't like the weather right now wait
just a little while, it will change.

Morning... coffee, check!

I know what you guys mean about the high humidity and cold, it just cuts right through your clothes and chills you to the bone. Here it can be pretty darn cold and still feel nice with the low humidity.

We get massively varying amounts of snow here, I moved to a bad spot, in town 15 miles from here they only get a few feet and usually not a lot of accumulation. I asked the previous owner if my place got a lot of snow and they told me "oh hardly any, you don't even need a 4 wheel drive" lmao yeah right! I keep a come-along and an auger in the car and have been stuck on my road badly about 3 times now... worst spot in the county in the winter! At least people leave us alone, lol we only get Jehovias Witnesses and other religious soliciters here...

It was 44 last night with a high of 72, I need to get my indoor shop taken care of! Last year I was grinding outside!

Bay Area fog isn't that bad, I used to live there, the tule fog we get out here in the islands is disorientingly thick. I have been in a 300' wide chanel and didn't know which way to go in any direction. I can look out my front window of the house and not see the sidewalk or my car. My family in northern Montana stopped coming out here in the winters because it was too cold for them with the fog!

Fog is some crazy stuff! I like way in the back of a long valley and since we are up high we get clouds settling in here, it is way cool!

Right now there isn't a cloud in the sky, beautiful weather.
