Daniel, super glad to hear the press is working!! I'm psyched to see the pics of all the orders your currently working on..

Mike,

Gary Quesenberry and I worked together from 1995 - 2002 and then I resigned from the FBOP that year (my wife was accepted to medical school so I became a stay-at-home daddy while she studied her ass off). I can tell you that Gary was a fantastic officer and I truly enjoyed our time working together in the FBOP. I could count on Gary 100% to cover my back in any situation. He is now a Homeland Security agent.

I can honestly say my back is not as bad as yours, but I have the numbness in my feet/legs and sharp pains that will shoot down my leg and drop me to the floor like a sack of spuds every now and then. I opted not to have any surgery and just try to do back stretches for now. Of course, my kind of stretching is reaching for some Founders Breakfast Stout (Michigan brewery) or a family size bag of Cheetos....:D:D

Take care.

Glass of scotch anyone?

Well I guess misery loves company. I turned 45 this year, found out a couple weeks ago that
I have a cataract developing in my left eye, going to a specialist in December. Bugs the piss
outa me....one eye clear and shape the other blurry and outta focus.

But hay, on the bright side Daniel got a bitchin' drill press so he can make knives faster. :)

Man, why do I have to frequent a forum where everyone is talking about how they are falling apart? You guys are starting to depress me, and I've got another few years to go before I start falling apart.

Everyone use to say wait till your 40. I powerlifted like a bull in a china shop. I got up to a 525 competition bench and could squat over 800 lbs. Now with all the problems with my knees and spine I would have given all of that up. Was nice when I showed up and a convict did not want to move and his first words would be aint he da one benches all the weight? that usually changed their mind. Now it is a shame to watch me in the mornings I can barely walk my knees do not want to function. Then I have the handfull of prescription drugs I have to take 3x a day. Oh well I am still going to hunt even if I have to have someone push me out in a wheel chair.I am trying to get my son to slow down on the weights but all I ever hear is I want to be like you were.He is 25 and I tell him you want to be like this in 19 years? On a positive note got to see the knife Daniel is making for me and it is perfect in every point. Wait till the MCAM slabs go on!!! I am stoked!

I know how you feel Big, by my 18th birthday I had my 5th knee surgury and consequently almost lost my leg. Got staph and was within 12 hours of amputation. Cold mornings are a B!+*&, can't walk, can't squat, barely can move. Best thing is to keep my weight down. I make due, but only run when I have to. Sailing is a great sport with a low activity level, so I don't think I will ever try any ball sports again.

Good news, the job is going well and I am getting trasfered to the other store starting Monday.

I'm starting to get bummed. I was really looking towards sailing this afternoon. It was blowing 15-25 knots earlier (wind was coming from the west, different than normal, so I was having difficulty judging wind speed by the waves). About 30 minutes ago the sky just opened up and it's pouring now. I'm just hoping the wind picks back up and the thunder stops. I'll be out in that 420 like it's no ones business (even if I have to sail on my own, trap and spin aren't that hard).

The next thing for me to do health wise is lose a few pounds of fat. Whether I gain that weight in muscle or not doesn't really bother me though. I'm 5'11" 180-190 lbs (too heavy for a 420).

Ohh well, back to my psych paper....

Drinking heavily will even them out from what I hear. :D

Seriously I hope you get that taken care and feel better.

LOL, back to knife talk! :D

Good to hear the new job is going well!

Lets hope for smooth sailing!

My sail was Awesome! It wasn't blowing as hard as I thought ('bout 10-12 knots) but with 4-5 foot waves it's hard not to plane!

Sounds fun when on a little 420, but those are the conditions I loathe when on my I14! Nothing like getting tea-bagged (get your mind out of the gutter guys!) from the lee side of waves or sailing faster that the wind. My International Contender is fun in waves though. What club are you sailing out of? Kingston? I think I have a world championships coming up in Kingston in a couple years. Ontario is fun sailing. Maybe ill look ya up when I get up there.

Yep, Kingston it is! Getting tea bagged sucks and I'm no stranger to sailing faster than the wind (My dad owns a Dart). I need to find a better boat to sail, I'm just too big for a 420. Maybe I'll have to get an I14 (I was thinking a moth but I'm still on the heavy side for those too). Mind you I cant afford either of those boats, at least not until I start my "real" job in two years. Drop me a line if you are in Kingston (I know a few good places to take a beer, but not so many places to show off knives :( )

Nevermind, Contender it is! My idea boat is something I can sail on my own, but if I want I can bring a second person along.

Morning men.Went to a gun show last night and found a sweet piece of history. I got an Elmer Keith designed hunting knife from the 50's that was carried by a green Beret for 2 tours in Vietnam. Best off the guy had the article from tactical Knives magazine where this knife was featured. It has 68-71 inscribed on the blade.Lets just say I got it from an old timer for a steal. The blade steel is awesome it was still hair popping sharp.

Oh Elmer Keith was the editor for Guns and Ammo and the developer for the 41 and 44 magnum cartridges. In case any one did not know who he was.

Mmmm. Black glow. :D Is that what's going onto bigcountry's behemoth? Man, that one and Gooeytek's Havok are looking really good. Keep the pics coming :D

That one is getting MCAM. The Glow is for you and Riverwarrior. It could be my last batch, they tripled the price of the glow powder.

Thanks!
