Yep, Kingston it is! Getting tea bagged sucks and I'm no stranger to sailing faster than the wind (My dad owns a Dart). I need to find a better boat to sail, I'm just too big for a 420. Maybe I'll have to get an I14 (I was thinking a moth but I'm still on the heavy side for those too). Mind you I cant afford either of those boats, at least not until I start my "real" job in two years. Drop me a line if you are in Kingston (I know a few good places to take a beer, but not so many places to show off knives :( )

Nevermind, Contender it is! My idea boat is something I can sail on my own, but if I want I can bring a second person along.

One day I will build a epoxy/plywood boat from my own plans, I love sailboats.

I have never been on one but I'd like a Melges race boat, they get on a plane so fast!

Here is a boat I like, it has ghetto housepaint like I like too! They actually used this boat in Pirates of the Caribbean but it looked way different in the movie. http://www.friendshiprose.com/

I forget to add that I have been making scale material all summer and will continue to do so, I have a bunch of cool stuff I want to use when I get a chance.

Double glow - the brightest glow stuff out there, no kidding... the sheet lights up my kitchen at night!

Black/Green Glowcarta - Grippy, glowy, camo!

Black Glow - Black medium, green glow, my favorite.

Other fun stuff that doesn't glow- Felt Camo, Black burlap with copper resin, paracord mycarta

Plus I can get all kinds of cool stuff from Shadetree, I have a whole sheet of Crypto at the moment!

I just got a new diamond blade for my rocksaw to cut all this stuff, it is tough material.

Glad to hear you will still do Black Glow on request - you scared me there. With the edc you are going to be making, and the monster slayer I have, there is still the larger of the Black Glow set we haven't discussed yet. Let's just say your new oven will be stretched... :D

Glowcarta. That sounds nice.

lol I had just looked at the site that sells it (glow powder) and may have been freaking out. I now have more coffee in me and am more optimistic!

LOL! I looked at the site after you said they tripled their prices, and couldn't find anything to the effect but I figured you might be "in the know". Glad to see it's a false alarm. :)

I have a second international Contender that is a glass hull and homebuilt deck and sub-structure. The deck was taken off and it severely needs a rebuild. Someday soon. That will be my extent of wood boats, but they sure are pretty!

Melges are great boats, loads of fun. I have been racing 24's off and on for years. The very first one ever sold is at my club still owened by the same guy. He now bought a 32, wich is an insane boat. You can get hurt bad on a boat as powerful as the 32. Daniel, if you have time check out a boat called "Cone of Silence," the most badass boat out there currently, and IIRC its still for sale. This thing is a floating indy car that can cross oceans!

They tripled the pound price since the last time I bought any a few months ago. I know I want to make more scales though so I can make it work. I am nearly out of powder and looked up the price, I was going to order more but need to keep saving. At least resin hasn't gone up! :D

I'll have to check it out! Yeah the Melges boats are insane, no kidding about them being an easy way to get hurt, I wouldn't be qualified to even ride on one! They sure are cool though!

Looks like the price of the paint is still the same. Don't know if you can use it to make your scales or
how much it would take.

Just received a package from you today. Thanks. The pry bar will likely see some use when I return to work in a few hours.*

I keep some really odd hours working in the event industry. The plus is the locations always change. I'm about to spend a few days setting up on Alcatraz for a private party, and see the marlin spike coming into use (not as a prison shank on a co-worker).

Thanks for the extra cord too...

Enjoy the tools and the party, I hope they get some good use!

Getting ready to make a 6 hour trip down state.going to leave within the next 2 hours. I hate having to go down by Detroit. Bringing my Glock 23 and my Springfield 1911. Always gotta have choices with what you are wearing...........lol Actually I wear the 45 when ever I have to have a sweatshirt or jacket on. The 23 I can wear shorts and a t-shirt and you would not know I had it.Too many death threats in all my years in law enforcement to go by Detroit with out a gun!
