I just put up a few in-progress photos! It is looking great, just wait until I peel off the outer layer off the peel-ply style G10. :D

This one will be highly finished, I spent all afternoon yesterday finishing the insides of the scales! :cool:
 
Morning men. Gonna be a hot one here today, 102* is forecast. On days like this I am glad to be at work using their air conditioning.

Kevin, I have Monday and Tuesday off, Monday I should be free by the time you wake up at the butt crack of noon, and Tuesday I'm headed to the Galt flea market, the big one! If you want to come along maybe we can find you a drill press! I also think I might be heat teating some others I have, I got a little clip point birds head belt knife in 15n20 I need to finish drilling and heat treat and I could use a second set of hands fo the plate quench.

Also I'm gonna make a clamp jig for mokume-gane welding. Gonna give that a try with some cupro-nickel. Daniel, you want a chunk to play with?

Afternoon men.Hope you all have had a great weekend!!!!Just so you know if you have not figured it out I consider all of you as my second family.Just some of the great comments from some of you have helped me through some tough times.so I owe all of you a great big thank you!

Mokume, cool! I'd like to see what you do and of course that sounds cool! I want to get a jig together for that, I was considering wrapping some quarters with stainless foil...

Morning men.Hope all of you that have to work have recovered from the weekend.With it being so hot you can not drink enough liquids!This is where ZI miss drinking beer.....lol
 
well evening men! It is almost 2300 Hrs here.I am glad i gave up drinking! Last night a huge brawl broke out in the town over.A girl was pulled out of her boyfriends truck as he was trying to get out of there.seems he ran here over and she is in ICU and they do not know if she is going to make it.That is why I stay out of bars.My temper combined with drinking is a no win situation!
 
Morning y'all. After two days off, I have had exactly ZERO shop time. I did get to go in there to get my bike pump though! Had a friend over for the last three days, so her and I have been entertaining my wife during the day since she's home now. She has a couple of good prospects for a job, but nothing for sure yet. To top it all off I am coming down with a head cold, been some crazy weather here. Rain overnight with 100* daytime highs is tough!

Back to work now, gonna be a crazy week because I have inventory coming up on Sunday. Atleast I don't come in until 5pm that day, but I work until 2am or later if needed! Oh, joy.

Lets hope for a good week and I hope you feel better. Keep us posted on that Mokume, I may make some too. About $4 worth, lol!

I bought a couple inches of laminated copper/brass (not really mokume but can be worked into patterns) from reactive metals, I may hammer it or just grind out some cool stuff when I get a chance. I love anything like that.

I took a half day off, the first break in a month or so. It was nice to have a break and I found "Knives 2011" for only 10$, I had to get that. I'm making the directory in that book next year, it was cool to find a copy.
 
FBC, thanks again for the Cd's! I was listening to the 45's today, killer stuff! Did you record those to CD from vinyl? Very cool, great music... the punk rock I love!
