Are we getting some shocking prize? Better take Daniel's words serious! I'm going to study hard now :D:thumbup:

No prize! Besides the video itself. lol (man I'm cheesey) That was awesome though right! I'm almost at the end, I watched the first part about five times because it was so cool but then it just gets better. The newspaper and phone book cutting is beyond what I thought possible.

I want to be like Jimmy Fikes when I grow up:D Awesome video Daniel!
Me too! :D

Mornin y'all!

ITS FRIDAY!!!

Hope everyone has a good one!

Hi Daniel,

I'm glad you guys are getting a chuckle out of the old video. We had a ball stringing that footage together back in the dark ages of VHS recorders and an even harder time now finding a way to convert a DVD copy of a DVD copy of a DVD copy of the old tape to a format that would upload to YouTube. I was old before the computer age arrived and now I'm ancient.

All the stuff was easy to cut except going down through the edge of that barrel. Doing that is definitely a butt-puckerer with a blade with a very thin edge.

I still have one jungle honey of my own... in case of Zombie Attack, you know:D

I like that

Thanks again for putting the video up, it sure gets me going.

The barrel cut would scare me, that is a serious barrel. I have a home made steel drum made from one and it is solid. The barrel cuts alone were just nuts but when you think of the paper cuts too it is very impressive!! Tanto through a brick... very nice!

I am going to have to try your field sharpening technique, I like that a lot better that the way I do it on a stone. I always wondered what exactly people mean by the "rolled" edge too... now I know.

Good call keeping a Jungle Honey. :D

I'm excited about the new knives Jimmy, I'm looking forward to more! If I keep watching I might have to get an anvil...

morning...

YAARARRRRRHHGGGGGHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRHHHGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

OK I'm good.

I woke up to a lot of snow, we must have gotten 5".
Right now I'm trying to appease a rabid baby-dactyle, I'm getting growled at and must feed faster

Mornin.

Brandi is having a yard sale this weekend and I am so glad I have to work!

Snow?! What the hell is snow? Its going to be 72* here today, and sunny.

Morning!

Good call..

I know, I bet they didn't even get any snow in town! I need to do a video showing you guys where I live, it is literally on the side of a mountain. When I moved here I didn;t knoiw this area got an unusual amount of snow... it is just my valley mostly that gets hit hard.

There is a spot just north of me, 30 miles as the crow flies that gets up to 50 feet of snow each year! 50 freakin' feet! 30+ on average. Shaun White's secret halfpipe was built there so he could train.

The crazy thing is that a mine is under the snow there and back in the 1800's was mined around the clock from 1877-1910 or so with just Christmas and Sundays off! I have a book about it, fascinating stuff. Most of the gold coins produced in the US were from that mine exclusively, the gold was so pure they didn't even refine a lot of it.

how far can I get off topic in one post... pretty far!

If I wonna see snow then have to drive about 3hours to "big bear lake", it was beautiful, just like in Danile's pics. So evertime u showing the pics and vids of outdoor I just feel like u live in a fantasy world!! :joyous::D

My wife says they went there a lot growing up, she is from near LA.

I'm in Bear Creek Canyon. I'm above the canyon near the creek and we have a lot of bears!

Wow..sounds like nice vacation place!!! I hope the bears don't mess around with the master of "edge weappons". :D

I like snow......as long as it arrives Saturday after 1am and the roads are clear by Sunday evening. :D

How many knives are too many? Can that happen? Should I be afraid? add sig

You? No, you should not be afraid. You should rejoice in your luck of finding this forum and Daniel Fairly. Your wallet, your bank account, and your credit card.......well they should be afraid, they should be very, very, very afraid!

If I lived in Cali I'd still just be working on knives all day, lol! (all work, no play makes for scary chisel grinds!) When I get the time I will snowboard more in the winter, I miss it!

That's right! Speaking of that I need to go snowblow the driveway, we have a ton of snow now.
