Graceful handle and a cool blade. ^

Thanks!

Everything is going to upgrading the shop more for folders at the moment and I'm excited! I will be able to speed up progress and improve build quality. No more hand lapping hardened steel! :D

That looks very promising, Daniel. My only modern folder that I regularly carry is a Spyderco Southard flipper, whose curves are not too dissimilar. I like it.

Kev- Do a collaboration with Daniel. You draw the knife and Daniel will do the rest.
:D

It's 9:04am. My day off. F*** it, I'm having beer for breakfast.

Makin it great!

Hope y'all are too!

More fun in the shop today!

I needed a new one piece cleaning rod for my rifles, so I made one! Double ball bearing handle, fiberglass rod and it only cost me $3.00! Beats the $30 and up for a good one like a Dewey or something.

I used an old front bicycle hub, bored out the axle for the rod, cut/ground one flange off, ran the axle nuts to one end and called it good. I just need to make a threaded insert for the other end but I have to use the drill press at my parents house which is bigger than mine.

Time to go get this boy and take him to his drum lessons...

Nice work Xander! Drum Lessons - nice! I need to dust off the set myself... Thanks on the folder too.

Thanks for the mention Farchyld! I hope you are doing well and I can't wait to see that latest project!

Hey Justin! Much appreciated and i hope the knives are going great!

Thanks Liam! I want to make 100 of them.

Sloth, listen to Rolf!

Rolf, what's up!

Yo, yo FBC, how's it going dude!

I've gotta give a shout out to BLK, IMWILSON and Gooeytek... Yo!

...and THANKS AGAIN GUYS for the feedback on the flipper. I am going to do one really big project this year and want to narrow it down... this one just feels right.

I have also considered doing a few other custom folders instead (and still will in limited numbers) , a midtech Backpacker run with removable scales, more RF2 variations (still in the plans!) and more. Small fixed blade runs each month with employees... etc. But I need to focus on one big thing so the feedback is really important to me. I'm thinking I will stay a one man show this year and focus on knocking them out of the park.

D, I am doing well. You are already knocking them out of the park so just keep doin' what you're doin' !
X, I like that cleaning rod!

Which handle shape do you guys like more? The top one has the RF2 handle (at about 93% of the original size) and the bottom is close to the friction folder. On the friction folder inspired handle I'm going to make the lines near the front more aggressive and less rounded.

Honestly, I prefer the bottom handle - I think it is the smooth arc the blade and handle make across the spine, and the taper - just makes it seem more refined.
