Favorite overbuilt folder?

That Demko is sick!

Since the OP asked about the TSF Beast, it is quite a bit smaller than the Satu or SMF in length but is a great medium sized "overbuilt" folder. Right in line with the Grayman Dua. I love mine, it is very smooth and the lockup is perfect.

"Overbuilt" does NOT mean it has to have a long, long blade. I don't want/need a long blade for my EDC needs.
I've had a Dua and it is a good knife. Great jimping which allows good blade control. However, the finger cut-out (due to the position of the pivot...I think) is so far back that it pushes your hand too far back on the handle. I actually wanted to put my middle finger in the cutout with my index finger almost touching the blade. Dangerous. I wish he would "fix" this. I really like the Dua, but won't buy one again unless the finger cutout is moved closer to the blade. Other than that, it's a great knife.
I have two special-order Three Sisters Forge Beasts in M390 blade-steel. Excellent knife. No jimping, because the thumb-stud apparently does not leave enough room for adequate jimping. This is a great folder. Jim Allen is a great builder and a nice guy; eager to please. This has just barely less than a 3" blade (tip to handle) which makes it legal carry darned near everywhere. It has a 0.160" thick blade and should easily handle whatever you want to throw at it. I'm a believer in this knife.
I've had lots of Striders: all four models. I like them all. My favorite of them is the SJ75 which has the same blade-edge length as the Sng.
Of course, I love the CRK Zaan of 0.140"; my favorite blade design of them all.

I sort of lust for a Praetorian Ti but I'll never be able to justify the cost and that's okay to me.

Nothing

Out beefs the Bunker Buster.

Another happy beast owner here. Super thick blade stock for its length and Jim's service is second to none.

I'm not really into over built knives. I like knives that cut well better. But from what I have it would be either a Lionsteel SR1 with monolithic Ti handle and rotolock or Benchmade Adamas.

ZT 0551. If I need more overbuilt than that, I'll grab a fixed blade.

That Beast sure looks nice, though...

My favorite is the 056x series by ZT, but the 030x series by them is the toughest feeling in the hand I have personally used.

Ive been wanting a grayman dua for a little bit now but gotta wait for my wallet to get out of the ICU hahaha

"I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me......"

Cold Steel American Lawman AND Spartan
CRKT M21
Benchmade Adamas
Gerber AF Folder (the big one)

And they all do the job well!
custom shmustom.... :D

I'm glad I just got my TSF Beast. It's going to be a little difficult to lock one down after this thread. The only heavy duty folders I have are an Umnumzaan, Spyderco Techno, and now the Beast. For EDC I think the Beast is the best of the three.

That AD 10 is ridicules, everytime Ankerson post those pix I keep
Looking for the lights shining down from heaven and like some angels singing are something. That is probably the highest quality over built folder in existence.
