Hey, question about that fire starter if you don't mind? Is it new, and if so, where did you get it and who is the maker? The reason I ask is I have one that is essentially just like it, and a smaller version too, that I bought at a sportsmen's show here in Denver about 20-25 years ago. It's almost used up, and I'd like to get another, but have never located the maker. TIA!

This particular fire starter is a Magnesium/Ferrocerium with Padauk (African hardwood) which can also be used as shavings if needed. They come with a lifetime warranty. I'll send you a PM with a link. Thanks.

I like that setup. Can I assume that the multicam bag is your fire kit? It's been in the past couple of pics with fires. BTW, I have the Core 4 stove as well and really like it.

In the next week or so I hope to have a fire pic with my first Fiddleback.

Your right. The multicam bag (Tactical Tailor) is my fire kit. I have about 6 different ways to start fires because I suck at a hand or bow drill...:D

Yeah, looks/sounds just like the old one I have. Wish I knew who I bought it from, lol. See you sent a PM, I'll go check it out, thanks!

Another Kephart to replace the one I sold. This one has a much thicker handle and very nice hammered flats. Its beautiful!
