Lol had some caldereta last night myself! Didn't have the Red Horse though. I don't care what they say about my sexual preference, I still drink Cerveza Negra!

Man, catching up on the new posts in this thread makes me really look forward to the next three weeks being past now that the decision has be made, so that I can regain some of my life and get back to enjoying it :) Really nice shots guys!

Hey Jules, I looked at every picture, but I did not see one of the Nessie breaking open a balut. Other than the countryside, and your Red Horse beer picture in the other thread, I would have never known you were in the Philippines.

Couldn't decide which knife to use to prep a meal, so I let a couple share the load..

Both did the job but the full height grind nessmuk is born to slice

..peeling the spuds was a nessie task

...chopping them was a breeze with the Camp Knife

...pork was skinned and cubed effortlessly

...prep work over

...treat for chef while cooking

...finished Pork Caldereta

...gratuitous Kephart shot!

Lol if he can't host y'all in Philippines y'all are always welcome here. I live in the city but just a little ways away are deserted islands and lush jungles. We usually have a camping/drinking trip 2x a month.

More the merrier, we'll squeeze you in somehow. I can reserve you a table with a sea view, free grub in return for a hand with building the seawall!

Is the thumbramp rare? I like it.
What's the difference between the Sneaky Pete, asp, wasp?
I've looked at many online.
There are so many variables, I can't tell them apart.

I bought this as a gift and I really don't think I can give it up.

If I could change 3 things:
a slightly fatter handle,
a tungsten bullseye to add back the weight of the tapered tang
red lucite liners that make the knife look like it's "armed"
(The green is very bright with the right light. The curves in the handle make it visible from all angles, just beautiful.)

Nope .. pretty sure it's a common design feature of the knife.

The Sneaky Pete is the fatter (original) version, then the Asp .. then the Scorpion. Do a search, cause I'm pretty sure someone has photo'd all 3 side-by-side.

My wife says don't post an open invite unless you are serious. (She has a strong back and a tolerance for heat. This is how we ended up in India for 2 weeks last time).

:D:D LOL It could work, I have a habit of showing willing then assuming supervisory position in hammock with some coconut wine while my wife, the assorted nieces/nephews and elderly relatives carry bags of sand and large rocks. Someone has to coordinate it all!

That tapered tang is sweet! Andy does taper quite a few blades, but that one is razor thin. I'd say that one is a rarer or at least a nicer tang. Nice score bud.

I have to head home early because of some banking issues (Chase decided to cancel my accounts and freeze my assets without any warning), but when I return the invite is still open. We are always looking for an excuse to get out of the city and spend some time on a deserted beach, in the jungle, or exploring caves. Plus, local booze is like $2.50 a liter, so there is always plenty of fuel around the campfire!

Lol sounds like you need to hire some of your neighbors for a few days. I don't do crap here because the maid runs me $75 - $100 a month and workers are $5 - $12 a day. Makes it a bit too easy on a guy to be lazy lol

Not lazy! You're supporting the local economy! 👍
