Fiddlebacks and Food

You guys always make me hungry. I have enough belly, and not the one on my Nessie either.

There are some amazing chefs on this forum! I just started looking back through these pics and its impressive! It's like the Fiddleback Food Network.

Nothing fancy, but the Woodsman got dirty in the kitchen for the first time, so I feel obligated to post it. :)

Vance, you always amaze with what you can do with some food and a fiddleback. Shall we deem that the title of your biography, "Food and a Fiddleback"?

thanks,
mist might have the honors. his photos are better

i love to cook but work from 10am to 6pm 5days week...so cooking is how i use my knives

No fancy shots, but the other day when I came in from work the wife was making meatloaf and had used my Woodsman for prep so I snapped a quick shot for this thread :)

surprisingly I wasnt a big fan of the Woodchuck until I brought it in the kitchen. I never felt it excelled at one particular thing over a BF. But man, its an absolute wiz in the kitchen.

Good to see that Woodsman at work Thurin, and damn I sooo need a synthetic handled Woodsman like that!

Damn it man, you always make me feel like I'm starving!

Typically fails when i add a pic, but i'll try again. This weekend i made some Venison sausage with a blackberry demiglaze, fresh cut green beens, and "special noodles" aka spaghetti noodles drenched in butter, salt, and pepper.

From the moment I saw the first one Andy ever posted I have wanted a guardless one for my kitchen. I could immediately see how well it would do at a cutting board.

This past season, I used my Bushfinger to skin and debone some of this deer.

And today I made jerky!

Sorry. I was feeling particularly lazy today, so I dried it in the oven. (Not exactly the 'norm' for jerky.)

But, now I have a little gallon bag full to snack on.

Looks good man!

So, you still liking the newer Bushfinger better than the first one you had?

I asked the little one what she wanted for supper tonight. She said she wanted catfish. So, a little southern cooking in siberia :) Fried catfish, home fries, skillet hush puppies, and some shelly beans. After seeing the amount of cooking oil being used, I remember why I don't do this often...
