I thought it was pretty good, but I couldn't believe I didn't remember I was out of crackers in my pack until it was too late lol.

It really does cut nice an clean. I managed some really thin apple slices for a 5/32 blade thickness. I was surprised this one was still around at the shop. I remembered it from the same June batch my Wingman came from and couldn't resist it. It must be because I am one of the few who really likes 5/32. I was just glad it was because I think it will do well in the project I am working on.

My new Big Green Egg was delivered today.


So to break it in (and stay under the recommended 350 degrees for the first few cooks), I decided to smoke a brisket tomorrow. Picked up a nice 9.5lb brisket today and used the Kephart to cube the fat cap (holds the rub better).


Smoke should start tomorrow morning sometime around 3AM.

So I told him I knew how to lure you over...

Come see us, and we'll eat! And I'll buy you a Bud Light. Or nine.

And Maximus can play with Levi. Levi clearly needs some physical activity.

Today, at this tiny little place I found in town. Top plate stuffed with chicken. Bottom stuffed with salmon, avocado, and swiss. And then there's my fat ol' beagle.


 
looking good guys! I move back in June and have also been traveling for work, great to see one of my favorite threads going strong :D Hope to share something soon myself.

I will make the trip up and spend a little time at SFF. I look forward to it very much.

that food looks awesome and Bud Light is the deal sealer. :D

Maximus doesn't travel too well but I can spoil Levi even more than im sure yall have

I don't know anyone else named Phillip, that drinks Bud Light, and has a dog named Maximus.
 
Had my coin with me so why not. My cousin took me out to Mellow Mushroom for the 1st time. That pizza ROCKS.

I'm like butter, baby, I'm on a roll!

I haven't had my first smoked food off my new smoker (Brisket should be done in an hour or so), but Kroger was having a sale on pork butt. So.....tomorrow morning there will be another fire lit in the Egg. Kephart doing the work (incredibly easily after a stropping, I might add) of checkering the fat cap.

 
Since I don't have a smoker, I did the next best thing...

It was delicious.
