**** FINALLY SHIPPING THEM - 2009 Forum Knives update

Guys and gals,

I know I have frustrated a few folks here, first with the delays in getting the knife made (although I can not take blame for that and neither can Steven) and in my challenge to get them out while down physically over the last few months.

I really do not have words to express the patience and trust you folks had in me during this entire mess.

PT is going well, I am starting to get my balance back and am able to walk for 10 to 15 minutes each day. Life is good, it will even be better when I get in line at the P.O. for the non-conus shipments. :D.

I started carrying my forum knife last week. I hope everyone will be as pleased with them as I am. It is the best knife I have from Queen and S&M. They really went the extra mile in producing these. The few people I have talked to that have them seem to feel the same way.

I meant my comments as a joke & I'm excited when I get home soon. Having been in your shoes, sort of (Back surgery), I fully understand what you're going through & sincerely hope all is well.

Guys and gals,

I know I have frustrated a few folks here...

HUH? Who might that be? Unless you tore that tendon winning a skydiving contest to see who could pop their chute the lowest, you're more a victim of life than anyone else involved in this deal. Thank you for working through the problems to get them out this soon. Thanks to STeven for getting them done, and special thanks to our anonymous stag donor.

Mine arrived today...needs some sharpening but wonderful to look at and great feel in the hand...barlows are one of my all time favorite patterns...

This will help show the depth of the texture of this stag...it is better than many "customs" I have seen...

Nonsense Gus...... it is what it is and all is good.

I/we are just glad you are on the mend.

[And, IMO; if anybody did get frustrated... they'll get over it..... :D]

A big thank you to you, Steven, and the Stag donor for all each of you have done.....

PS/ I received and answered your PM yesterday.

Sincere wishes for continued progress healing up. ;)

Mine arrived! There are no words to express how happy I am with it! Just absolutely gorgeous!! Thank you!!

Ok, So I walk in the door from the field, only to be greeted by the lovely wife. After the usual pleasantries, I am informed that she gets to go shoe shopping. No problem......

These lovelies arrived today. I apologize for the quality of the images, done on the scanner.

Gus, STeven, and Mr. stag donor, thank you again for a project very well done.

received mine today. very, very nice. I will give this to my grandson when I have one eventually:eek:

Thanks

Mine arrived today, got it in my hot little hands right now.

Turned our really beautiful! The bolster mark in particular is really a great addition, turned out fantastic. And the stag is heh, staggering (sorry, I had to), really some of the nicest stag I've seen on a folder. Rich deep figure and color and fitted just right to the knife, no gaps, nice transitions from the bolsters, just really nicely done. The blade pull on the clip is about a 6 out of ten and the warny about a 4, a little light but not at all bad. It is going to need a good bit of sharpening but I was expecting that. Nothing to complain about that you wouldn't expect on any really good production knife. Overall a real beauty!

Thanks guys and I hope everyone is as happy with theirs as I am with mine, we got a real nice one this time around.

Now when do the orders start on this years? heheeh

WOW! Nice pics & yes, the depth of that stag is incredible. Gonna be all the nicer to get back home...:D

Already packing it around, put one up for whatever. Super pleased that there is no danged yellow line between the spine and the scales.:D:thumbup:

Will tell you all a very brief and illuminating story when everyone has theirs in hand, and both Gus and I are very happy that everyone seems to be enjoying these.

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

Got mine today and I used the '08 Forum knife to open the '09 knife box, this is a gorgeous knife and thank you all for what you've done, as soon as I put an edge on it it'll become my current EDC.

I'll post a pic later, (I love my '09 knife, I think my '08 Forum Knife is jealous)

My babies came in today too! I am more than pleased with both of them.
Open/close is very good on both. Stag looks awesome.

I'm having a hard time putting one of them in my pocket. I will find out tomorrow morning if I have any willpower. :D

You've got that backwards, brother! Should be having a hard time NOT putting one in your pocket!!!

"Bastid" -- TAKE NOTE:

If you have one of these knives left over or if someone backs out, I will take one. Barlows are one of my favorites. I wasn't a member of the forum when these were ordered or I'd of ordered one for sure.

Thanks

I got mine out of the mailbox a half-hour ago, already broke a thumbnail (great snap to half-stop and DEEP cut on the pull). I've never been a Barlow fan, but this beauty just might do the trick. Thanks again, guys!:thumbup:
