[FIRST LOOK] ZT 0566 (or, so you wanted a smaller 0560?)

Absolutely amazing, ZT! I freaking want one right now. Another great ZT/Hinderer knife with the pretty sweet ELMAX steel available in G10 and Frame lock with all the same great looks? HECK YEAH!!! I'm so pumped for this. I can't believe how that pocket clips looks, also! That's freaking wicked looking! Everyone at KAI and to Mr. Rick Hinderer, a sincere thank you!!!

Awesome! Thank you ZT. Now I only would like to see a 3 inch Ti version of the 0550 :)

Ok who's makin the aftermarket carbon fiber scales lol. I see this thing being the new hotness:D

no ti dangit? was hoping for an exact copy of the 560, oh well. hope it's not too heavy.

Nice, but I still prefer the full size.

I just realized that this is a stainless steel frame lock. ELMAX steel, Hinderer design, and no Ti Framelock?

lets begin ti-bitching!....

nice american made knife, with lower price, than 0560. but with the same steel! i couldnt wish any better. and with that size of handle i suppose it wouldn't be too heavy (in weigth).

I can understand the whining about the no Ti, the 560/5601 sets the bar pretty high, but be realistic. The 560/561 feels almost ridiculously light (not a complaint, btw) for a knife it's size. With steel instead of Ti, the 566 should be just right for its size, and it should be lighter than (or very close to the weight of) the Cryo II.

Like many of us I wished it was Ti but not the end of the world. I just hope the steel is milled out to help with weight all the steel frame locks I own are heavy. That being said I will def own one!

Agreed!

I'm just worried that once this one come out all my other knives will get very little carry time. I feel bad for them already.

I personally dont care if its steel or Ti. What Im actually disappointed about is the lack of KVT. I really thought we would see the introduction of some entry level KVT knives or mid level KVT. It would seem it would be cheaper to manufacture but maybe not. I guess im just over the whole A/O thing and just prefer a good set of bearings.

I agree with the above. The 0560/0561 was almost too light for its size. Personally, I'm all for a steel frame lock. I tend to prefer steel to Ti when it's done right. I think they'll get the weight right on this one. Just because they're using steel instead of Ti doesn't mean they're cutting corners on production and milling things out properly.
