First Look!! ZT & Emerson Collabs - Made in USA, Feared around the world!!!

Okay, sorry, didn't mean to start a conflict but I'd heard varied reports of underperforming elmax that had to be sharpened a bunch to get to the performance expected from elmax. I also experienced underwhelming performance from my ZT elmax, unlike my ZT s35vn. No big deal, sorry for being controversial. Sweet looking knife for sure.

I would take those reports with a dump truck full of salt.

finally an emerson that won't have fit and finish "issues"
- I'm guessing you've never seen the fit and finish "issues" in the now archived ZT forum? ZT does make great knives, but like any other manufacturer, they are not immune to issues from time to time.

I've never had any fit and finish issues with the few Emersons I've owned, and never had issues with the Elmax in my ZTs either. I think both complaints are extremely overblown. In any case, I am more excited about this collaboration than I've been about a knife in a long time. Between this and the 562CF, I am without a doubt buying two new ZT models in the next year.

I will probably want the elmax g10 version even though I don't care that much for tanto blades. I've had nothing but good luck with zt's elmax and fit and finish. One of the main reasons I haven't cared much for Emersons was the steel.

no company is immune to that, but I will say that as a company they continue to do nothing but improve. I will absolutely be getting the 602CF, and in the meantime the 801 will dominate my front right pocket!

keep beating the dead horse. most production knives will chip and need a sharpening to really show their performance.

I'd like to see them collaborate on a Super CQC8. Also, needs a lanyard hole.

Hoping these come out pretty soon, my bday is in April and I hope to be able to ask for one...
