Goin to be a mighty good show!

Hi Don, Unfortunately I won't be able to attend. I will meet you in person someday! However, Rob knows which knives I would love to add to my collection :)

Sorry you can't make it. I do look forward to meeting you in person one day.

I'll try and keep Rob out of trouble

Mrs Connally, yes we will miss you but putting Don in charge of keeping Rob out of trouble, well.... I am not so sure of that one.
They may be able to start their own Swamp People episode by the time they come out of that swamp we are going into. The game warden is going to be bringing up a live gator to the house in case Rob wants to wrassle one of them.

Arkansas just had a short gator season with a very limited number of tags. My father-in-law emailed me this pic of a gator that was supposedly killed in Dewitt Arkansas (near the White River Wildlife Refuge). 680 lbs, old record 650. It is 13 ft. 1 in. long.

WOW...that is a BIG gator! I had seen pics of a 900 pounder all over the internet the other day, and if that one is THAT big at 600 lbs......damn!!

Lots of exotic sheaths from those bad boys:D

Bob, that is a huge gator! I was raised with gators in North Florida and didn't see many that large.

Jerry is goin to wrestle a big one, and if he wins, we'll be eatin fried gator one night

That is a rare critter. Normally, you have to go to someplace like the zoo or Busch Gardens to say any gators bigger than that. That ones got some age on it! I think that the biggest one that I have ever seen in the wild alive was probably 3 feet shorter than that one. My dad saw one that size crawl up on a boat ramp on Blue Lagoon lake next to Miami International Airport and die after being hit by a boat 40 years ago, but back then, one that size was even more rare than today.

It just is not fair for one thread to have so many great knives.
Oh yes it is considering the makers involved.

Thanks for letting us take a peek at these. My drooling is so bad, I will not need any water for the rest of the day.

I haven't seen one even approaching that size. That monster must be 30" or better across at it's widest point.
Surprised it doesn't weight more than 680.

There is a even larger gator around Arkansas Post (historic place) that has a tendency to sit under a bridge and is somewhat of novelty around there. It is supposed to be 16'+. The ones in Millwood should be 8'+. The White River Wildlife Refuge is a large expanse of old bottomland hardwood forest and swamps....a pretty cool area. It would be nice if you could check it out while your in the state.

Don, thank you for keeping an eye on Rob for me.

Jerry, I have increased the amount on Rob's life insurance policy. Please make sure it looks like an accident :D

Gentlemen, please feel comfortable calling me Heather. Sorry I won't see you both next week.

Heather, now thats just dang funny.

This is an upswept Sendero with a frame handle. I do not make many of these at all. An Old Classic pattern with just a touch of new class.
This particular one has a wolf tooth damascus blade with a blade length of approx 4 1/2 inches. The handle is pre-ban elephant ivory with the engraved guard and pins being stainless. I engraved this one a bit different then slightly textured, with a single point chisel I might add, the front and back side of the guard. Stamped on reverse 30 yrs.
