Fixed blades

Not necessarily man. In most cases those holes are for removing bullets from cartridges so you can use the powder for starting fire.
I really can’t make it up what size this hole is, I wish we hag a caliper or metric measuring tape…
Still, thank you for the effort.

I predict it’s just a little larger than 9mm
You could be right and it makes sense, but it looks smaller to me. If I had a “hunting” knife, I’d like a hole in the7-8mm vicinity, I guess. Let’s see what our friend will measure…

Yeah, about 5mm. Enough for 5.56 but not much for 9mm or 7 so…. If not for breaking bullets apart, I’m wondering what other purpose the hole would have, kind of goofy place for making improvised spear but of course I could be mistaking

Anyway, thank you for the effort my Arab friend ! I also like the knife, looks like useful outdoor blade.

Picked up this random Two Sun (TS-278 I think) on a whim, it's my only experience with this & similar brands - it's interesting. I love the shape and the blade and the grip the knife gives you for tasks like food prep, it's a nice and thin, made from 14c28n and it has copper liners with "horn" handles, tho I assume they're just plastic. The scales have cracked around the screws just from normal use (they're sending replacements for free). I haven't sharpened it yet tho. Blade is 3.5" overall 8.2"

Backwoods custom. Not sure if this guy is still around.

This is a bigger camp/sporting bowie I made recently with a carved handle. The carving is tedious and nerve wracking at times but I love the end result. This is the second time I've done it on a knife and I have a third (even cooler) in the works.

Wow John! That is gorgeous. When your books open up let me know, I'll snag a little something something from you!
