Fixed blades

Nearly 10 coons and 5 possums in the last 3 weeks. They got to 1 hen. I feel your pain, the possums don't kill the chickens so I let them go. I have a camera in the coup so I know who the culprits are, the possums wander around and eat the bait in the trap but have yet to cause a problem. The coons are killers and have to go. I may have a weasel issue too.

I love volunteers! There's a bunch of random tomatoes around my house.
And the volunteers are always so strong and healthy.

I shoot coons around here too. I let the possums walk because they eat ticks and we need all the help when it comes to those.

Man, look at that P&L! So much character. 🥰 I bet she handles like a comfy ol’ pair o’ boots.
She's an extension of my hand, my favorite blade in it's size range hands down. Maybe my favorite fixed blade in general though it has tough competition. I have many knives but few ive bonded with like that one, i know you know what thats like when you feel that way about one.

Yep, same. Just let a baby possum go this morning that was trapped last night. I despise ticks and any consumer of ticks is good with me so long as they aren't killing my ducks or chickens. There's a fat one that keeps coming back lol dude waddles in the trap gets trapped eats all the bait and sleeps in the cage overnight like a hotel. He's bout getting on my nerves though because then the coons can't get in the trap.

He knows the routine now!

Old faithful! I never remember, is that a stripper m6? Love seeing knives that get carried and used, especially ones that reach old faithful status
Yep, that’s my old M6! I have another one but it’s a more recent addition and hasn’t been used much at all. I’ve beat the striped ass off of the one in the pic. The thing just locks into my hand like nothing else I’ve ever held.

I had a bunch of Ratmandus and got rid of all of em! I figure if I’m carrying something about that size I’d much rather have the M6. If I’m going small it’s the AMS hands down. Same thing with that one - just melts into the hand.

I thought I saw a little discoloration that looks like it comes from meat, sometimes they get that beautiful multicolored hue. I fell hard for the rmd, still have 1 or 4 of em, but when i got the p&l it was game over for the rmd.

I love strippers, I've seen some nice patterns under the coatings, the cerkote coatings are much harder to get off. The standard crinkle coating melts off with citri strip. I don't think I've seen a side by side of an m6 and p&l, 2 badass cousins! The ams ain't no slouch either! Excellent taste in blades brother

That's a lot of raccoons. Family groups I'm assuming? Every one I killed last year was a big boar, couldn't believe it.

Never had an issue with weasels, just a couple of mink.
Definitely family groups, ranging from pretty young to pretty old. There's plenty to forage around here so I'm not sure why they are so intent on the chickens. Weasel decapitate chickens and we had that happen, of course it was while my camera was down so I can't be sure. They also can fit through the holes on chicken wire/traps.

I would take coons over damned porcupines any day. At least coons have a reason to act the way they do- pines just destroy stuff to irritate me! (I am convinced of it!🤪).

In all seriousness I admire coons for what they can do. Very smart buggers. I volunteered with Wildlife Rescue in TX when I was there and the coons were a frequent call.

At least quill pigs taste good, the .asked bandits aren't too palatable😖.........😉

Don't let them fool you, that look is the I want to bite the ever loving hell out of you look. It's unfortunate how quickly they'll murder all the chickens and ducks, they drastically impact our eggs.
Yep! We had a few raccoons attack my neighbor’s chihuahua and about killed it. I had to run and grab my .22 and dispatch one of them before the rest ran off. They are fierce little devils that are destructive and will kill your pets and small farm animals.

I used to have porcupine on my property regularly in Northern Michigan. They destroy the bark of trees and will hurt dogs seriously. Not a nice thing pulling quills out your dogs face/eyes/mouth.

Coons are smart, boy can they be aggressive though. Between the 2 I'd rather eat the porcupine though lol
