I’ve made ulus. Ulus are great. They are satisfying to make. I’ve made them in 8670, AEB-L, and MagnaCut so far. Maybe 15N20 also? It’s been a while, and nothing set in stone yet, but I’ve been thinking more and more about making another run. My design would be a little different the next time around, but this was my first ulu, 8670 and Suretouch:

The crosscut micarta and forge scaled one is indeed 15n20, it currently resides here in WNY. An awesome tool for cutting pizzas, and processing leaf fat for lard and tallow.

To top off the normal breakdowns and storm work insanity, I've had 3 grandparents pass since the end of May... Been a wild summer for sure.

Thanks, ma is having a rough go. Grandma was a long drawn out affair, but her dad just clocked out yesterday. 3 weeks after her mom.

I was dealt a ridiculously fair hand in the grandparent department though, made it to 35 before losing any of them, and my kids are old enough to remember great grandparents. So while it sucks, things could've been worse.
