Fixed blades

When I get the text that the feral hogs are knocking-over the deer feeders, my little SOCOM and Aimpoint PRO always do the trick for me.

However, if one of the Hunters has had a poor/misplaced shot, a large knife with a "point"/"belly" is REALLY useful to get the final job done...

How does that thing chop? Balanced well?

The big Kodiak. I think I’ve chatted with you briefly about it already.

Brother, you know I was just kidding.

Most (*about 90%) of my "chopping" has been done with one of the SK85 Kodiaks...which isn't saying a lot.

Despite that, for me, ALL of my Kodiaks have been outstanding. I'd put any one of them up against any other chopper, without hesitation.

*The SK85 versions are a bit different animal (*in my humble opinion) than the K329 versions. They're about 30-thousandths thicker and a few ounces heavier. I think they're closer to what the Designer (*"Alex B") originally imagined, before the K329 versions were released.

**Unrelated...but...I have my same suspicions about the recent release of the K340 Work Tuff Gear "Ares". The original was about 5/16ths of SK85 (*and about three ounces heavier), while the new version is 1/4" of K340.

Well, it’s a great looking blade! I’d like to check one out one day.
