Flashlights

I prefer the Eagletac d25c.

Very small, rear clicky, head all the way tight is max and strobe, loosen a bit and you get all the mods. I absolutely love the light.

Make sure to get the d25"c"
And not the d25"a" which is a AA light.

Of course the zebralight is no slouch, but the Eagletac is just so convenient, bright, and the titanium looks great.

However, the aluminum version will run longer because of titaniums poor heat dissipation properties. But man the ti looks good.

I own a couple of the Eagletac D25C, they are all of the things mentioned above, but the UI and options are idiotic. Great light otherwise.

Awesome, sold. Thanks guys. Was considering the olight s10 but think the side switch would turn on in my pockets. Think I'll go with the eagletac.

It's the smallest out of my edc lineup, but in the top 3 for brightness.

The pd35 is the king. Shoved a triple xpl in there on top od 6 copper pcb for a heatsink . Sphere read 1300lm on start up.

Sunwayman v11r is another good one if you like control rings.

Sunwayman C20c if you like side click. (also the smallest light I know if to run a 18650)

It's second in from the right.
Little on the throwy side for an edc , but still nice.

Thanks Tmack. That Ti is sweet and well priced but I went with the the aluminum for weight and battery life. I currently use an LD01 that I really like due to it disappearing in my pocket but since it is so small it is nearly impossible to operate one handed. Plus when room in my pocket permits it would be nice to have the extra lumens.

Brian......yup.....I have the same one and it's a fantastic light.......incredibly powerful for the size........and the battery life is pretty good......tough to go wrong with the D25C....
Congrats on a great light!!

Thanks man. You should see it in the dark. On and off lol.

The trits are gorgeous, but the real show is the beam. The head is nice and wide, so it throws nicely, but the textured reflector spreads the light to a nice spill. Awesome performance.

The button is nice too. No click, but a recessed electric button.

By far my most high end light.

Tain Nova Damascus 16340
Or
TIxDA

Getting impossible to find. Only 20 were made.

You know I had to get a rain drop large 21 to go with. Lol.

Here's a 18650 version I did for a test run of the three piece body design.

No bezel at all.

Excuse the smudges.

Only two joints in the light.
The led/pill assembly threads up towards the head, instead of being dropped in which would make an unnecessary joint that would weaken the light, and be another place for water to get in. Totally one piece head.

When we go to the 16340 version, it will be matte anodized, fully knurled (course) on the flats between the ribbing. And of course she will be shorter.

And we found a way to integrate a much larger 6a switch, which is plenty for our application. Most of the time, junk switches are used in hopes they will take the current on small lights. No junk here :)

Now remember this is just a prototype of the three piece concept. To make sure everything functions perfectly. It can then be scaled down, and the host tweaked for grip, and durability. :D

Ross, I actually saw it in your post and that turned me on to it. I hadn't included that in my consideration but after reading a bit about it I decided to narrow it down to that one. I'm sure I will like it. The UI does seem a little crazy (given my perspective) but it seems like I'll be happy camping out in group two. Seems like it will still fit nicely in my pocket too. I tend to go small in everything but a knife, but the 3" XM has changed that a bit. I don't like carrying so much that it looks like I'm a pack mule but I like to have stuff I use. I have a Madmaxco pen I really like and would like to carry it with me but I haven't brought myself to carry it around in my pocket and just be one more thing. So it's housed in my work bag. I might pick up an investigator pen at some point since it's a bit smaller, and has a cap.

Thanks Tmack and everybody else as well. Lots of good info in this thread. Thanks for starting this N2K.

Glad you found a light Brian!! Excited to hear your thoughts about it :D

Tmack, that light is badass!! Congrats on a real beauty!! You need to find a bad A damasteel something to go with it

You know damascus Hinderers do exist. Talk about rare, but unlike some things...they are real. Held one once.
