My name is Bryce Braden and my email is acaptainn@yahoo.com

Ive never done a passaround so suggestion,s are welcome. To start i,ll show the knives and give some information about them so that the folks that want to participate can give there suggestions on which knives they would like to see in the passaround.

I think I,ll send out multiple knives tho i,m not sure how many yet or if they will all go as a pkg. from person to person, or send one knife to multiple people and have those people swap someone for a different knife.

>>>>I would like your suggestions on this as well any other detail of the passaround<<<

I,ll take everyone,s suggestion,s for the passaround and iron everything out before sending the knives.

There are 12 knives too chose from and we will call them 1-12 starting at the top and moving to the bottom.

Thickness is a bit tricky because the teeth add to the base thickness. For example #1 is 1/4 OA thickness, but if i measure it not adding for the teeth it,s 3/16 The reason i mentioned this fact i guess is that a 1/4 thick file knife would not weigh as much as a 1/4 thick non file knife. That,s nit picky i,m sure but i guess that just show,s my analness.I,ll measure thickness on all the knives as OA and at the thickest part of the spine just so ya know. Ok here,s the list.

#1 9 7/8 OA length and 1/4 thick OA at the spine.
#2 8 3/4 x 3/16
#3 8 15/16 x 3/16
#4 8 x 1/8
#5 7 15/16 x 1/8
#6 8 x 1/8
#7 6 1/2 x 1/4  a few stout lil guy,s ( like me ) in the list
#8 5 3/4 x 1/4
#9 6 x 1/4
#10 5 1/2 x 1/4
#11 4 7/8 x 1/8
#12 4 15/16 x 1/8

I,m sure i forgot some thing,s, my excuse is it,s late. PLEASE help me out with suggestions for the passaround.

Go ahead and START SIGNING UP in this thread if you wan,t to participate and list the knives you would like to see in the passaround.
If you have suggestions even if your not participating chime in !
Thanks ! Bryce

I would suggest keeping it fairly simple for a first passaround. If you would like to do multiple knives maybe do it in the same package. There would be waaaay too much tracking involved not to mention a lot of who got what and "where is this supposed to go?" with multiple packages.

And what the hell.....I'm game. I'd be interested in playing with them, especially 3,6,11&12.

I agree 110%..

It would be a nightmare to keep track of all those knives if they went to different users--at the same time.

Pick 2-4 and send those out--to the same person.

He/She uses them-reports their findings-and mails to the next person in line.:D

I would love to test your knives Bro..

Dr.Bill

Sending them as a pkg. to one person at a time would certainly be easier. We have two who would like to participate already. That,s a good thing !

William which knives by # would you like to see in the passaround ?

#3 and #10. I have participated in many passarounds and what both these other gentlemen have suggested is easiest to manage. Organize the list from east to west or vice versa, decide how many people you want involved, get real names/addresses/phone numbers, compile your list and toss a copy into the box with the knives for ease of mailing to next person. Have each person contibute to an ongoing thread with pics and a review. Its fun!

I agree with Rocky----#3,#10 and also #12.

Thanks Bro:thumbup:

3 and 12 are popular ! Which to me is kinda funny as i like 3 but didn,t so much think others would. And 12 i had already made up my mind i was going to send , if it wasn,t picked i figured i would toss it in as a surprise in the pkg.

They all appeal, but I personally like #6 and #9 best.

Please count me in!

Alrighty John your in.

May i have some OPINIONS on HOW MANY people should be included in the passaround plz.

Bryce

I would very much like to be part of the passaround.
Your knives look great and I expect they will be real users as well.
Thanks for considering letting some of us try out your handiwork.

I would suggest that you put some requirement of how long and how many posts to participate.

I would want the opinion of people who had run multiple passarounds, but, 6 to 10 participants is probably about the right number.

Sharp your in !..

We look to have 6 people IN the passaround now. I,ll give it a little more time
maybe a coupla days and then finalize and get the show on the road.

I agree with C Bryant. I'll take 7,8,and 12 if that's okay, or whatever works out best. Thanks for the invite too.

Bryce, would you like our info now or later after you have organized this a bit further?
