Yeah its just a piece of 3/16 square stock, forged, twisted and split to make the fork. It was made in the Clark blacksmith shop at the Storrowton Village Museum in West Springfield MA.LOL, the photo doesn't show the tines completely and the way they're bent it looked like a loop end to me...
