Grilled cheese night. This batch was seeded rye with either colby jack or cheddar. The next batch was cracked wheat with cheddar. Kids go crazy for the simplest of things.

Is this the slim pro blade on a metal handle? Have they stopped the micarta versions?

It’s the BOTM for May, 3v blade and brass scales. They still make the slim pro trx in g10, I’m pretty sure they’ve disco’d the micarta slim pro. I could be wrong though. I’m actually carrying a slim pro in micarta with a d2 blade today. Great carry.

I really like the blade profile of the slim pro with the straight clip,good idea on the classic pattern. I often carry the g10 slim in 420HC. So does the BOTM also have the straight clip? How heavy is the brass version? Thanks for sharing.

It’s the same blade as the slim pro with the straight clip. With the brass scales I’d say it weighs the same, if not a few more grams than the classic 110. About 7.5 oz.

It feels good in pocket because of the profile. Have you checked out the 110 hunter sport? https://www.buckknives.com/product/110-hunter-sport-knife/0110GRS5-B/

Thanks, unfortunately I don’t like the look of the new hunter sport. Something about the different colors of the Bolsters and the green slabs doesn’t look clean. Are the bolsters micarta too? Or are they the aluminum like the frame? Thanks.

Bolsters are aluminum. You could always dye the micarta black so it matches. Also a few guys in the Buck sub have made wood inserts that look great.
