For all you Spyderco fans!

No doubt.....aka....moron markers.....aka....jail entry applications....:D

Bottom line, is that no professional shop worth going to will give a hand/face tattoo to an 18 year old without any previous tattoos...it isn't ethical, and it certainly isn't respectable.

During the 10 years I was full time, The only hand tattoos that I did were cover-ups, or finish work to people looking to cap off sleeves......OLDER people.;)

I'll be tattooing at Blade, FWIW, but I'm already booked up.:)

Best Regards,

STeven Garsson

I have several tattoos that can be covered with a short sleeve tee shirt. Where I go they wouldn't do a hand unless the person was already heavily tattooed. To each his own not for me.

I have a lot of tattoos and they can all be covered with a LONG sleeve shirt. Where I go to get my tattoos they won't do tattoos on hands or necks unless someone is already heavily tattooed in visible areas and they know how people treat you when you are. It's an eye opener how people gawk at you and at times how they treat you because of visible tattoos. I get asked about the regret factor, and I have none. I have gotten one of the first ones covered up on my left shoulder because I wasn't happy with it. If I woke up and mine were gone, I'd go start some new sleeves immediately although I may skip the ribs the second time around.

To each his own. It's only a little tattoo and depending on what you're planning on doing with your life it probably won't matter and unfortunately it will make decisions for you. The numbers of tattooed have increased a lot over the last decade and in my experience it's easier to be tattooed now than it was back in the beginning. I predict one in five adult males in the US will have visible tattoos by the end of the current generation of kids coming to age. My retirement gift to myself will be the back of my hands, but for the foreseeable future I've gotta make a living. Good luck.

Cool tattoo. Just wear a bandaid at your interviews. :)

Job Interviewer: "oh, why do you got a bandaid on your hand?"

OP: "oh, its nothing, just a spider bite"

Im not into tats as they are too mainstream and lame now IMO, but Im glad you like it

Just wanted to add, if you were my kid, id cut that spyder out with my paramilitary:P

Oh, man... did he free hand that? It doesn't look symmetrical at all. I hope you don't live to regret that tat because you'll need a pretty big band aid to cover it up

Pretty cool. At least there is so brand name or anything. It's a cool little tatoo by itself. Damn, but on the hand. That's a statement.

If you like it that's all that matters.
I love Spyderco so I approve, but unfortunately [at least where I live] tats still make job hunting quite a bit harder.

Wow. On the hand? You're bold. Good for you, but I think you will regret it later. Maybe not, who knows? The only tattoo I'm planning to get is the scales of justice across my back the day I pass the Bar.

If you like it then thats all that matters,

PS. I got a shark tattoo on my hand when I was 16 in the back yard of a bunch of drunks, I regretted it at first but now I kind of like it ;)

It's not as bad as the "Git Er Done" forehead tattoo I've seen on the internet, but it's close.

I'm not able to give you any positive reinforcement, either. I've always thought of tattoos as childish. The only one I ever thought was worth the trouble was the little one that yelled, "Zee plane, Boss. Zee plane!"

Oh, man... did he free hand that? It doesn't look symmetrical at all.

Ya that's what I was thinking.

I thought when you go to a professional shop, and pay a professional wage your suppose to get professional quality...

You really gotta be careful these days, and do your home work on whoever is gonna be tattooing you.
Half the young guy's in the shops Ive seen have been tattooing only a few years, and have little to know Idea on how to set the ink properly into the skin.

A tattoo is forever! So feel free to be a little picky about who you let tattoo you.

There needs to be someone named Benchmad3 to show their dedication with one of these tattooed

Then their lawyers would be after you for copyright infringement! :D

Nice "tat" kid. Enjoy it!

In Belgium we had a girl not too long ago tattoo her face with stars!

Originally she went in to have one tiny star tattoed somewhere but, strangely, she wound up with her entire face full of stars! Followed by a gigantic legal mess...
