Thank you Sir. Yep, I ordered a spare as soon as I saw these go to Clearance status and I'm glad that I also picked up a another 112 Pro last Fall.Jeff.
Those are nice knives.
I thought of grabbing another, ...... I'm looking forward to the micarta/ aluminum framed ones coming out.
There's an art to driving that far in winter conditions..... And then to have it be your commute.....
I drive about 5-600 week. But you have worse weather, and more often!
I salute you.
Cheers to those of us that do!
Be safe.![]()
You can have a pocket clip if you want. The lightness and slimness of the 7/16” thick 560 make it quite clip pocketable.View attachment 1723412

I'm looking forward to those new Sport versions as well. OD green isn't my first choice but I may try to make my own scales with some micarta that I picked up last year. I'll figure that out once we see how these scales age. If they turn brownish like the Slim Pro models, I'll be just fine with that.
Winter travel/commuting definitely requires a different mindset and I have much respect for anyone that does it regularly. Always be prepared and make smart decisions! (maybe I'll dig out my travel bag and post a pic of my Winter survival kit, in case anyone is interested)
Salute reciprocated.
Stay safe out there!
Ach, I just found it on clearance. Also, the 124 Legacy on clearance. The dilemma... I shouldn't have gone looking for that.Jeff,
I haven't seen these on clearance, and I'd be tempted. I had one in my cart on the Buck website at the beginning of the year, and didn't pull the trigger in time. I have a 112 Pro that's sitting in my back pocket right now. Great knife!
how do ya know where the road is....? guess avoid the trees and you're good.Temp in the teens today which was a nice change from the -56° windchill Thursday morning. The wind and snow made for some fun on the road though...

One of the most important rules of Winter driving... Try to stay in the middle of the space between the trees.how do ya know where the road is....? guess avoid the trees and you're good.so cold...hoping for y'all to get some warmth soon.
common sense i guess. even a flatlands no snow fella like me figured it out.One of the most important rules of Winter driving... Try to stay in the middle of the space between the trees.
My boss from many years ago was famous for saying "keep it between the ditches" and that couldn't be more true.common sense i guess. even a flatlands no snow fella like me figured it out.
jokes aside that is hard driving there.....not fun im sure.
