for winter, what Buck ya carrying and how cold is it...

The future is uncertain as far a physical health..Things happen like cancer and accidents that can impact your enjoyment of life so it only makes sense to prepare as best as you can for the unexpected. My take is to enjoy every day and check off as many bucket list physical things while you still can! I never did jump out of a airplane but at least I tried back in the early 80's but the wind picked up after the class to over 15 MPH and the drop was canceled. I'm planning to go to Post Falls for the 35th for the same reason..I might not physically be able to go to the 40th. It's hot today in Florida and I got the new BOTM 112 box next to my desk and that will go in my pocket.

We need a summer version of this thread.

Maybe, "What knife are you carrying today at work, while Jeff is retired".

🤔😁

Edit.
I'm thinking there's a bunch of retirees here.
May have to exclude "at work".
......might limit participation.
😉
yep......we sure do.....

on Jeff's retirement..need a Jeff's in town visiting national park near me, what Buck ya got thread.

Today it’s currently 70° and supposed to get to 75. A bit breezy 27 mph wind with clear blue sky. Trees are leafing and some weeds are sprouting up. We really need a good soaking rain as we have had little precipitation since August. I’m carrying my regular Vantage pro in 20cv and 303 cadet.

31 degrees and heavy wet snow mix with wind and rain. Not a nice day, but typical for springtime on the high plains in early May.

Well, this may be my last post....... of the season, unless Mother Nature tosses another curveball.

It was 33° at wake-up and should reach a high of 40° today. The forecast is predicting temps in the high 70's to low 80's for the end of the week.

I dug out this Ranger Pro from the bottom of the drawer because of another thread. I added a Kwik stud this morning to solve a hiccup while opening. That worked so well that I threw caution to the wind and opened up the CBN rod that I had ordered months ago for my Sharpmaker. I had some issues in the past trying to restore a nice edge on the blade but the new rod worked beautifully. A light touch with some fine Emery cloth on the bolsters restored the brushed finish and whatta-ya-know, she's back in action after a long hiatus.

Wow...you'll thaw out fast later this week.

High of 93 for me today.

That thaw is causing some worry. We've had Colorado Lows for each of the last three weekends. The first one dumped 88cm (34") of snow. The next weekend Brough another 33cm (12") and this last weekend saw 30mm or 1 inch of rain.

We're ok here, some flooding, but our city can handle it. My buddy that lives near the N.D. border isn't as lucky. Their town is under a partial evacuation order as well as a boil water advisory.

Yikes. I hope everyone climbs to safety in time.

wow Jeff, no spring for y'all in frostbite in minutes valley. sorry y'all aint getting a break.
The snow and cool temps are a mild inconvenience compared to the drought, floods, tornados and hurricanes that some other members experience.

We'll be hiking in the bush this weekend so I'll add this new arrival 891 (thank you DOGPOUND77 DOGPOUND77 ) to my day pack as well...
