Nice.
I miss that.
You still have fall to look forward to.....

There was only 4 of us working today.
I don't know what the wind chill was...... But it was ug!y.
Still playing with the Budgie, only cause my 110 was buried under layers of clothing.😐

Board shorts, fishing shirts (SPF30+), flip flops and a big straw hat are the clothing of choice outside today.
Going for a swim at the river later, too hot to do anything else.

Only have two seasons here, wet and dry, not much in between.
The "Wet" (November-April) has been very wet, lots rain and flooding, but only minor where I am.
Other pats of Oz, not so lucky.
The "Dry" (May-Oct) I hope will be a coolish one.

Now if I’m looking at a map of Australia, is the east coast to the left or right side? Or am I suppose to turn the map upside down? 😆 just kidding 😂 I’ve always wanted to go to Oz and see it in person. I don’t know how many documentaries about Australia I’ve watched. I find it fascinating down under!

As is usual for Indiana, we keep fluctuating between cold (single digits or lower) and warm (over 40F) in a short period of time, over and over. It beats the hell out of our roads. This spring is going to be a noteworthy chuckhole season. On the bright side, if I can find one in the right location, I'll already have the basement dug for a new house.

Well it's that time again.

14 degrees and light snow.
The cold isn't so bad, it's the wind that's hard to dress for.

This working outside everyday is getting old. Maybe it's me. 😉

Have the 110 on the belt in a nylon sheath.

And a pair of Memphis Ninja ice gloves I found under the back seat of the truck.
😬😬😬

Stay warm everyone!
✌️

I just got back from school drop-off and it's just about those temps here.

I've had this budgie in my pocket the last few days, and snapped this photo on Thanksgiving. Temps were still in the 40's, and we were looking forward to a weekend of pie and turkey leftovers. All of that is gone now.

I don't normally care that much for bright colored knives.... But that one is nice.

21 here now in northern Illinois. Haven't been hiking below 40 degrees yet this winter, but here's a pic of my 110 last winter below freezing. It'll be out there again soon.

Thanks! I tend to favor 300's or a 55. This thing has a list of specs that should guarantee I'd never want to own it. It couldn't be more different from a 303 in black, but (and here's the really salient point) it's a fantastic knife. I really, really like the 417, and this particular example is a looker.

Temperature was 3F (-16C) this morning, Mississippi River in front of my house completely froze over Sunday night. Probably will be April before I see open water out front again. Carrying a DLT Drop Point S30V knife for that last few days.

Yes. Mine are Microspikes brand. Each spike is about 1/2" - 15 spikes connected by chains for each foot. They work very well on ice and snow. Very good traction - no chance of slipping. But snow can sometimes stick to them on days around freezing are above when the snow gets wet.
