for winter, what Buck ya carrying and how cold is it...

I'm in an aerial lift most everyday.
I'll take 0 degrees with no wind over a windy 21 degrees anytime.

I attached a little Budgie to my harness for easy access as getting a 110 out of a sheath with a harness on isn't easy.

I need to get a bigger knife.
That things nice, just too small.

Buck doesn't have many knives with lanyard holes....

It's a good thing people like different things. I think our winters help keep people away. Our population density has increased to almost 6 people per square mile, compared with about 3 people per square mile 60 years ago—jb, your density in Florida is a little over 350 people per square mile. Depending on the road, I can still drive 100 miles and see only 2 or 3 cars the whole time. I've been to 48 of the 50 states, and Florida is one of the two I've never visited.
true florida has become a full state. 22.2 million and change people now....but like most states..the bulk of the population resides in a handful of counties..in the big metro areas.

it's also the 15th largest economy by gdp in the world now. by around 2030 will be number 10 in the world and over take Canada's economy. even with its massive oil wealth, land size and manufacturing power. i call my state the new california. wasnt always this way here though.

when it gets too big and too full I'll be heading to some island way down south where it's warm year round.....

I hope is isn't the new California! If it is I hope it avoids the gross errors and directions that California has made and moved in!

We need more knife talk here!

Out here on the high plains we get both extremes, brutal hot in summer and bitter cold in winter. At work I can handle the heat better than the cold. Freeze ups in the piping are a pain and wearing all the layers of clothes and safety equipment is no fun. I’m just getting to old for this stuff. 🥴

Even birds migrate south in the winter..I do believe people should too if they can. All I can say is the Spring Summer and Fall must really be nice way up north to stand the actual brutal cold and winter weather. Especially for weeks and months at a time..
Just as folk say, you adapt over the years. Growing up here makes it easy but I've watched numerous immigrants from Central America and various Caribbean nations that have left those tropical climates in search of a better life. Pretty much all of the ones I have spoken to agree that Winter is hell but it's still better than life back home.

very true. ability to get a job that feeds ya and provides shelter, clothing, power, clean water, etc and some luxury always outweighs weather whining.

but I like to whine........😄

Ditto. If I don't whine about winter cold, I'll whine about summer heat.

375 and 32F today. I've been thinking about getting a 2-spring 305, and have been using the 375 as a test run. It's a slightly different shape than my older 305, but I like the feel of it. Not a profound difference, mind you, but enough to notice.

Someone recently posted a 110 or a 112 with a lanyard hole. I thought it was a sexy blade

Yeah I'm familiar with those.
I still carry my 110, but I'm looking for something a bit lighter to hang from a lanyard.

I was thinking a Spitfire. but the ones I have the lanyard hole seems a bit small. I want to hang it on a key ring.
I'm eyeing the small Pursuit folder. I wish I knew for sure how big the lanyard hole is on that......

I wish they had the 112 LT as they have lanyard holes. I think the 110 LT is a bit longer than I want.

Bit of heat wave, very sticky!
Only 100.4 F (38 C) today, with 96% humidity.🥵
Been like this for nearly a week!
Cool change on the way, winter is around the corner.
Late arvo cookup, 486 waiting for the fire to burn down.
