I came to the realization that it had to be...

It's a comfy 19 degF here right now, but it's going be the high and it's going to get chilly tonight. The rain turned to ice and snow overnight, so we have a few inches, but it was so windy that most of it is in drifts next to bare areas. I did my first barefoot/shorts walk in the snow of the 23-24 winter a little while ago to get a package from my sister brought to my condo. She was a little upset when she saw me and yelled at me to go back inside, but I was already half way through the drift to her car. The sheet of ice under the snow made footing a little tricky, but I was more careful on the way back.

I just realized that I miss shoveling snow in shorts and either in flip flops or barefoot (if it wasn't too wet). And by "miss," I mean not really. My condo HOA is an accursed thing, but at least they do the snow removal among other outdoor maintenance. I'm almost 59 and I wonder when my tolerance for cold is going to come to end. Probably soon!

Had a Buck 112 LT and a 426 in the pockets of my hoodie. The tracking for my new 110 from the #5 stealth run is supposed to arrive today!

In honor of the polar vortex crap we're having, just had to make a meme about my favorite cold-weather badass of all time:

Yukon Cornelius was a badass for sure and for certain!

Which reminds me . . . last week I had an idea of doing a remake of Burl Ive's "Silver and Gold," but changed to "Hookers and Blow." I'll be costumed as one Hunter B. Pretty sure I'll go viral on youtube when the video drops.

Down to 9 degF and declining. Added the new Stealth #5 110 to what I'm carrying right now. I need to find some more stuff to cut.

Depending on how cold it gets and if the wind persists, I may rethink my plans to hit the range for pistola practice tomorrow.
