for winter, what Buck ya carrying and how cold is it...

After a couple of days skyrocketing into the low and mid 20s degF, we're below zero again. It was -2 degF when I got online to run a live meeting for the online class I'm teaching this term. I didn't bother checking the windchill. Looks like it's going a little lower tonight.

When I go out later today, the Sprint Run #005 Buck 110 will be on my belt (which will be threaded through the belt loops of my shorts).
 
-2 this morning, but this should be the last day. Tomorrow will rise above freezing.

Around -2 here currently, last night was -18 but looks like the last day of the deep lows, not to get terribly warm today but tomorrow is a big change and after that we are looking at normal temps for this time of year, high 20's to low 30's for highs, in the teens for the lows, which is tolerable.

Been carrying around my new 110 proudly last few, but last night pulled out my SK Spitfire and slowly and methodically stropped it for like 2 hours while watching TV and it's like a laserbeam now, so think that's what's getting clipped to the pocket today.

Imgur is funny, sometimes you can post the page the image is on and it works, sometimes you have to go to that page and right click on the image and select "open image in new tab" and it will pop up a page that has nothing but that image on it, use that URL and give it a try.

I use this free service : https://imgdump5.novarata.net/ works great, you can just drag and drop from your open file manager. Please do re-size raw pics before uploading, that guy is running his own server and doing it pro gratis but he doesn't have unlimited space.
 
Last week we had quite the winter storm.
Things not put together right don't survive strong winds.

Yesterday, 12 degrees, 15-20 mph winds.

We didn't install this, but commonly get called to fix stuff like this.

Yeah I had a 110, but used the utility knife in my tool bag, as I had a few clothes on.

Got to use the img tags not link/url tags. ;)

Use brackets = [ ] at beginning with "img" inside them, then url of image, then more brackets at the end [ ] with "/img" inside them. Like this (had to type it out and do screenshot, lol)

Imgur also doesn't work when I have my VPN running. I have to turn it off to see any images posted from there and I can't connect to their site with VPN on.

Love those Etekcity stoves if that's what's in the orange box! Just a friendly tip - make sure your sawyer doesn't get below freezing, especially if it's been used. They say the expansion can tear the filter membranes.

Had those stoves for close to 10 years. Pretty great for what they are. That makes sense about tearing the fibers in the filter.
 
It's -8 degF here. It's supposed to go a little above 20 this afternoon, but I just canceled my range session anyway. I'm just not feelin' it.

For some reason, I have four bucks on me in different pockets and on my neck lanyard: 112 LT, 426, 110 (a different 2021, gave the one I've been using to my nephew yesterday), and the spiffy new 112 Stealth #006. It's a Buck-tastic day.
 
About 18 degrees right now, going close to 30 later, still not above freezing, but it's 40 degrees warmer than it has been, so some welcome relief, suns out too!

Not carrying anything at the moment, still in my jammies, lol, but that new 110 is hanging on my belt on the pants i'll wear today.
