Yesterday it was about -25 C, I took these babies with me. It's a pity I didn't take my smartphone, in the morning and at night due to the cold there were pillars of light like these

22 degrees, flurries, and really windy. It's not supposed to get much warmer than that today. Heat wave coming tomorrow & into next week. Into the 30's!
44F this morning, and we're supposed to hit the upper 50's by afternoon. The trails still had some icy patches, but those will probably be gone by tomorrow.
After a 4 degree night and a 1 degree night and a 20 degree night it was back into the 40s yesterday afternoon and still just a little snow left on the ground. I took a walk with my new 110LT, which I have been carrying lately with great pleasure.
I carried my 1974 two-dot for so many years that I wore out the original sheath and had to replace it. I eventually stopped carrying it. A few years ago I gave it another try but it just seemed too big and heavy so I started carrying a 112FG. Well, a couple of weeks ago I bought this 110LT, put it on my belt, and it's been there ever since.

Funny, I actually do spend hours there. We must be twins. I love watching the seasons change through the forest. There's so much to see if I just slow down.

34 this morning, and getting up into the 50's again today. We'll be back to our normal 30 & 40 high temps starting Saturday though, according to the forecast.
It was 34 degrees when I went outside at 7AM. It's 52 now, and the weather guessers say a high in the mid-forties today. Yeah, that's right.
